A modern, upbeat Israeli inspired restaurant with food to share for the table. This sister restaurant of Bala Baya has a good selection drinks and entree/smaller plates. We ordered one cocktail and mocktail and unfortunately found both on the sugary side and certainly on the pricier side (£13 and £8 respectively). Drinks are arguably better at Bala Baya but the food is definitely at their sisters level. For food, we had hummus, aubergine mess, broccoli and fried squid. The highlight was the 14karat hummus, a sweeter than usual hummus dish with a lovely carrot flavour and carrot bits laced throughout. Hummus was silky smooth. Another highlight was the aubergine mess with sweet lychee and rose. Again, on the sweeter side but was a good option to balance out the beef hummus which we found quite heavy and salty. We also enjoyed the squid but found the broccoli a bit too sweet with the glazed figs. The cigar was delicious for dessert and highly recommended. It came with a bitter dark chocolate coating and passionfruit as well as a chocolate crumb. The waiters also made a special effort with our birthday celebration and were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Overall, a wonderful experience. Perfect for couples, celebrations or a special night out.

Beautiful interior; from the restaurant design to the cups. The atmosphere, music, and service were on point. As the evening progressed, the lights dimmed, and more lounge music was played. The food was delicious and would recommend the lamb swirls. They also catered for an allergy and had an allergen menu prepared prior to arrival. The downstairs space was a little more cosy and seemed like a nice date venue.

I love Israeli food so had been wanting to visit Kapara for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. The interior is newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous, down to the menus and tableware. Our server was approachable, knowledgable and responsive despite the venue being super busy, and all dishes were delicious. The hummus was silky smooth and the bread was super fresh; other standouts were the aubergines with date syrup and tahini, and the chicken thighs (or Crispy Crunchy Bums as they’re referred to on the menu). The dishes are inventive and the whole vibe is pretty playful and tongue in cheek; this is a restaurant that gives the impression of not taking itself too seriously, while showing immense attention to detail. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend.

Wonderful dining experience in modern trendy restaurant serving food with great flavours and textures. Separate vegan menu available including Hispi Cabbage, Braised aubergine, chilli Broccoli and flatbread with hummus. Cool vibe with bright colours and catchy music. Excellent service from Ivan (a guy from Brazil who was as trendy as the restaurant) and the kitchen staff downstairs who you can see on the way to the loos - which themselves are an experience - feels a bit like a secret nightclub! Every dish felt like it was prepared with care and love. Great choice of wines (some a little pricey!) including a few from Israel. Highly recommended

It‘s a hidden gem near soho. Nice interior and good taste. We order 2 plates each and a dessert to share. My favorite is aubergine heart and lamb swirl. Will definitely revisit next time! ;)

Kapara is all about good looking modern Middle Eastern food, with an emphasis on design and aesthetics. The food is about contrasts – citrus with smoke, soft with crunch – which, for the most part, made each dish interesting. The weekend lunch menu is available from 12pm to 6pm offering two courses (£29) or three courses (£39) per person. The portions are a good size for being a fixed menu. There are four starters, five mains, two sides and two desserts to choose from. The squid and black was okay, lots of crunch but a bit dry. The schnitzel is highly recommended- crispy and full of flavour. Dessert wise the bridgette is yummy - the soft semolina sponge, crunchy pistacho and soft nectarine is a great combination. Lunch seems to be a prelude to dinner at Kapara were the restaurant comes alive and the vibe is energetic with high tempo music. The table service is efficient and warm. Asked to be seated on the ground floor level and the basement seating does not enjoy the open space as the floor above. In summary, Kapara's food is good but it is too polished to be at all edgy.

This restaurant has really nice decor. Was here for lunch with a friend and we were really impressed with food and service.A special thank you to Melisia, that helped us with our choices and made good suggestions.Starters: Pita chips, were interesting and tasty however I got bored of them after having 3/4.The cheesy balls were nice.Sharing Mains: the star of the show were the baklava prawns. The squid and black were nice too, however I wasn’t a fan of the black sauce but the grapes one was delicious. The Jerusalem artichokes were great too.Desserts: the cigar was quite cool, however I found the passion fruit sauce too overpowering compared to the sauce inside the cigar which was mild and tasted nicer. The brigdette was a bit of a disappointment as not only it was very small but lacked in taste and wasn’t moist as expected from a semolina cake. The naughty nuts however brought the scores back up again, it was warm , nutty and had a mild taste of spices , all the flavours got quite well together.

Superb Israeli restaurant in London. Feels like TA with superb mix of food and drinks. The desserts are extra special. Love the wait staff, especially Nina who made dinner extra special. Great bar scene and loud, fun music!

This restaurant is gorgeous. The ambience is beautifully curated and so is every single detail. But that’s where it ends for me: the food was underwhelming. Although very aesthetically pleasing, I thought it was either bland, overcooked or simply overpriced. The tomahawk steak was £87 and it was boiled, to the point we didn’t even finish it. The staff is nice but also a bit overbearing at times. Ultimately I don’t think I’d be back, there’s better value for money out there for sure.

Sat outside on a nice evening under the heaters. The food was generally good with the prawn baklava being an absolute must try! I would avoid the tomato salad dish. The service was friendly but seemed to get less attentive through the evening; we were waiting for 25 minutes just trying to pay the bill.
