Hope Cottage (Ocean Breaks)

Spent 3 nights weekend break as walked past it many times. Lovely for 2 people and inviting friends for drinks inside or in garden. Bend your head in bedroom and bathroom downstairs but fab stay

There are lots of good things about Hope Cottage – quiet, private, clean, great location, warm, good wi-fi and TV for example. We did, though, feel it it was on the expensive side for a one bed cottage, with a few annoying niggles, many of which we understand the owners have taken on board since our stay, which is good. In an old cottage like this you have to expect some low and sloping ceilings and doors. However, if you are booking, be aware that the bathroom is very small, with the shower head just 5’10” above the shower tray so anyone over that height will find it awkward to shower; and the steeply sloping beams over the bed also make it awkward to get into and in my opinion it would not be easily accessible for anyone with back or mobility issues.

Stunning cottage , full of lovely little touches. Owners go the extra mile , fresh unopened milk in fridge and a bundle of welcoming items laid out in kitchen. Cottage was immaculate, loved the decor. Yes there are low sloping ceilings in bedroom but it just adds to the charm of the place. Very peaceful location within walking distance to the coastline and a very short walk to the village pub. Would highly recommend a visit and it's dog friendly so that's a bonus.
