Smyths Toys Superstores

Ever since Toys-R-us closed down this chain has been the must visit toy store for children. Love taking my daughter here, plenty to choose from and very competitive prices. Can get very busy in lead up to Christmas but this is expected. One area for improvement would be ensuring they have more tills open. Often long queues waiting to be served. They still have free catalogues which is a very traditional but nice touch.

I have been to Smyths Toy Superstore Cardiff, on a few occasions to purchase a number of items. There is a Sercurity Guard called Shane, that always goes out of his way to help. He always goes above and beyond, he is the most helpful employee that any store could have.I made a point of bringing it too the managers attention, in which he totally agreed with myself. He also informed me that, because Shane is not an employee of the store, and employed through a 3rd party, they nearly lost his services. What a massive lose this would be to the store. I would recommend that this store (Cardiff) employs Shane as soon as possible and promote him to a supervisors roll.My girlfriend and myself watched him helping other staff with their tasks even after helping us. He is a true gentleman and a super asset to your company. Please review Shane's position in your Cardiff Store (Promotion).

Busy store, queues everywhere. Jobsworth making people queue and present photo ID upon collecting items from store. No customer service and moody staff member.No warning ID was required sdo had to re queue twice, faced with the same grumpy staff member.No other store does this why is Smyths so awkward.

Amazing experience at the Cardiff store tonight. Myself and my partner walked into the shop with not a clue what to get our son for Christmas - met Dennis at the desk and he spent the time and effort showing us around and suggesting toys that he may like! Safe to say we came out very happy customers with a trolley full of gifts. Amazing customer service from Dennis can’t thank him enough!!!

Bought a baby cot bed for my 2 year old, came home and full of bed bugs!!!!!. I tried to go to the store but being gaslighted into questioning whether it’s from the bed or not. Manager refuses to see me, absolutely disgusting!!!!!!
