Didn't get the gentlemans name, but the man on the ticket desk at 13:15 was kind enough to charge my phone for me to allow me to access my ticket on the Scotrail app. Absolute gent and a credit to Scotrail.

Very busy station. Frequent trains connecting most cities in Scotland. There are sitting areas and coffee shops within the station. You have the option to explore nearby local shops for more food options. There are escalators for individuals with accessibility needs. You can get a tram to the airport or city centre directly outside the train station. Get a mini blanket or a warm coat if you have to wait it’s really cold!

A decent station for trains down South up North and over to the West Coast..It is not as busy as Waverley but does get busy at times with lots of trains stopping and passing through here

Over the last month I have been travelling from Carlisle. The 1st time I was heading to Dunfermline and couldn't get my tickets on my phone and had to buy my ticket again. The same thing happened when I was coming back from Dundee. I managed to get it sorted out and had a coffee while I waited for my train to Carlisle. I went to the toilet and was disgusted by what I found in the toilets. Three of the urinals where fill of toilet paper and urine. To come to the capital of Scotland and experience what I found ,No wonder they called it OLD REGIEY .

Haymarket station was not as intimidating as some others.There was clear signage, courteous staff, and nice wee shops with an information centre.Also, it was quite clean!

Great melting point of transition and transfers to different destinations. Only thing lacking is good toilet hygiene! That area holds a permanent odour that is sordid and offensive to users of the station lounge. But busses have been awful these days! Making people miss appointments almost to point of costing people their jobs! Please the punctuality is missed! Let it come back!

Admission: This is my first time using Scotrail (Tourist from USA), but I found everything easy to navigate and appreciated the small store and cafes.

Good layout, decent signage to point you where you need to go. The staff here were all very friendly, patient, and helpful. Gotta love Scottish hospitality!
