Lovely walk with the dog. Expensive car park, expensive cafe. 6 Miles from the Cafe to the Bridge and back,if we had carried on over the bridge around the lake I believe it would have been about 8 miles in total.

Wow, what can I say? This place is a gem. Lovely walks, the sun probably helped, and open spaces to do what you want to do. For me, it was the Parkrun that brought me here and I will return.

Alton Water Visitor Centre
Ordered 3 toasted sandwiches a tuna and cucumber sandwich and 2 portions of chips. After about 3/4 hour we went to see where our food was, and about 10 minutes later our food was ready. We got our food but no chips they followed about 15 minutes later. My granddaughters tuna and cucumber sandwich didn't have any cucumber and I have never tested anything like it even the dog turned its nose up. Very poor quality food and bad service and expensive for what you got

Alton Water Visitor Centre
We had a lovely lunch here. The staff were polite and friendly. There is seating in doors and out. The toilets were nice and clean. Plenty of parking.

Great family venue to spend a summer afternoon. Beautiful aspect with a great cycle slong a well marked trail. Only slight negative was paying over £7 for tea in a takeaway cup and a warm kitkat from the cafe...not good value!

Just on the outskirts of Ipswich at HolbrookGood size Reservoir with plenty of parking and a cafe.Cycling route for enthusiasts, nature walks and picnic areas.Plenty of options for cayaking, rowing and wind sports.

Alton Water Visitor Centre
Great place for a long walk! The only things to consider, is that there isn't many dog poo bins onsite, nor picnic benches to sit down at. You also have to pay for parking.However, the car park is spacious, and the overall walks are lovely. You can decide which routes you wish to take, whether it's 8.2 miles or less. There is also a cafe on site, playground and water activities that are available depending on the season you decide to visit.

Lovely place to visit for the day, a nice walk or cycle around the water, lovely food in the cafe and really nice aircon to cool you down in there in this heat! All sorts of flavours of ice creams as well!

Alton Water Visitor Centre
Lovely venue. Not been here for years. Parking isn't too high. Great run or bike loop either about 7 miles if you cut across the bridge or 9.5 miles if you do the whole thing.Great cafe at the end waiting for you.
