Fondley Sett Boarding Kennels and Cattery

Our puppy has been to Fondley Sett on multiple occasions for weekend stays and is always looked after. He was nervous on his first visit as it can take dogs a bit to get used to the environment and their doggy neighbours, but now our pup trots happily into the kennels and loves being greeted by Adrian. We’re always happy to leave our boy at Fondley Sett knowing he’ll be well looked after.

Had my 2 dogs in for 3 nights. Absolutely no problems. They came out as happy as they went in. Have you used Fondley Sett for many years have always found Adrian and family reliable and helpful.

I would give no stars if I could. My dog is traumatised mentally as well as physically. He's a broken lad. He spent 8 days at fondley sett neglect kennels. He came out of there stinking. Covered in urine and feaces. He had been left in the kennel over a week with his harness on. Sleeping in a cold wet room. This has resulted in a trip to the vets. Him being on antibiotics and having to use antibacterial skin medication. He won't interact with us anymore. He sits in the corner of the room looking at the wall cowering. If anyone goes near him and moves unexpectedly he flinches. He won't eat and I'm furious. After trying on more than one occasion to get answers as to what has happened to my dog I'm still being ignored. If you love your pet please do NOT send them here. The place should be closed down. APARANTLY HE IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED ACCORDING TO GOOGLE. CALL HIM AND HE IS STILL OPEN

Have had both our dogs over the last 10 years at Adrian’s and they have always been well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble, whether tablets for older dog at the time or the boisterous new puppy now! Proper kennels where I know Adrian takes care and walks the dogs. Definitely recommend

We have been brining our dogs here for years. Tried a few kennels in the past before settling on this one and then never been anywhere else since. Dogs happy enough to go. Owned three dogs that have stayed on many occasions and all have come home well and happy. Good clean kennels with friendly service.

My dogs had to go straight to the vet.One was nervous and cold and had a toe nail missing that was bleeding and also had bad diarrhoea that he could not help but go toilet in the car and was not himself. The other aged 12 was soaking wet and freezing cold. The kennels when I arrived to pick them up were not heated as stated and there was no bedding what so ever just wet pee soaked cold hard concrete and my dogs were plainly uncomfortable and I noticed other dogs cowering and shivering too. The dogs were completely unattended . We waited 35 minutes before a lady left the house across the way and walked over to a side door after a few minutes she appeared at the door that customers use. We could not hear what she was saying at first inside as a television had been left on Full blast. No way as far as we could see that the dogs could be seen or heard from where she had been apparently as she stated looking at black Friday deals instead of making sure the dogs were O K. The dogs were not O K. Big puddle of pee at one end of the kennel block and the inside was not kept as stated on the website. After making a complaint and asking what had happened he tried to say my dog who is so loving was vicious. We asked him what happened and he said look I was trying to put his lead on and .... he paused and changed direction. We asked him if any contact had been made with our dog either accidental or on purpose. And we still do not know but I suspect that my dog was. He said he would never a hurt a dog but my dogs went and came out scared and cowering something they had never ever done and they had been the vet and had a clean bill of health just 4 days before they were boarded at the kennels. And if you start to ask someone if something has happened to your dog and they start off saying well your dog was vicious then I can only conclude that something did. But a soft loving Lab who is not viscous in any way what so ever may defend it self if mistreated No doubt. So while my first impressions were good my last were of nightmares for me and my dogs.

Adrian was fantastic with Herbie.We have used other kennels before, but Herbie didn't settle very well and showed some normal anxieties being in the kennels (weight loss, howling, etc). Being a rescue, I believe that also influences his behaviour in kennels.He is a very spoilt boy being one of the family (sleeps with us on our beds, is showered with attention, cuddles, walks, toys and treats) and is generally a very excitable, loving and social boy.I was worried that he would find it stressful in the kennels like another time. However, after being away for 14 days, Herbie not only maintained his weight, he was very excited, and his coat was still as shiny as ever.I'm extremely pleased, and Adrian has been absolutely fantastic, and I am happy to say we will always be using Fondley Sett Boarding Kennels moving forward.Can't thank them enough for looking after our little boy so very well!

My dog was there six weeks, we picked him up and his hair was completely matted, he looked at death's door. We took him straight to the vets, he is very poorly and has lost 20kg since his last visit to the vets eight weeks ago. His fur was so bad we have had to shave areas.Not for me or my German Shepherd. But he will recover.

My cockerpoo stayed at kennels for the first time for nine days while i went on hols. No complaints from me, my dog looked healthy on return. Adrian said he had not eaten much, but i knew he wouldn t eat much, he is picky at times, anyway i was hoping he would lose a bit of weight, unfortunately not. I would use adrian s kennels again, known him for years and trustworthy
