Always a firm favourite for us! By far the best Turkish Eggs in the region! Also the French toast is literally to die for ❤️

As bad an attitude problem I think, as I‘ve ever encountered in any cafe or restaurant. It’s such a shame because it’s a great place with great food, and the staff mostly try hard, but the grand lady herself fundamentally demonstrates dislike and distain of her customers. We’ve been three times and each time left jaw- dropped and twice unfed. Woe betide you if you show up 45 minutes before end of lunch service because 40 minutes later you’ll be told, berated in fact, with no uncertainty that you are the problem, that you aren’t going to be served and that you need to clear your seats. Our nearly 100 year old gran was so hungry when we left and our ‘Can we buy one of your lovely cakes to take with us instead’ was met with an extraordinarily forceful rebuke. Every time I walk past I still feel that sense of confusion and disappointment.

Not a one for reviews but as a recent father I feel excluded from being able to dine here as I have a pram! Very upset after todays visit! We had been advised to take a walk along the cost with our child and grab a coffee at Dil and the bear with cake by a close friend. On arrival, with our push chair, there was a number of tables free at the back on the shop. Which would accommodate us. The customers were actually trying to help us by moving their chairs to let us in. However we were told by a man behind the counter we would need to leave the pram at the front door. I explained our child is only 8 weeks only and can not be taken out of the chair he still said no we would not be able to dine with them! He said about the noise in the shop!? And the size of it however no one had a problem with helping us in apart from the staff. There was no health and safety issue and we would not be blocking any doors. Our child is actually on an oxygen supply (under his pram) which is why he can not come out and sit on our laps without that close by however the staff member was not remotely interested or even bothered their self to say hello when we entered. I would hate to see the way the treat any other customers with disabilities or wheel chairs! Will never return.

Amazing breakfast this morning. From walking in and receiving a friendly greeting to being spoilt for choice on what to order for breakfast. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Definitely, one of our favourite places to eat.

Vegan option - quite expensive, but easily the best vegan cafe food I've ever had. (Have had vegan diet for nearly a decade) Fresh and flavourful. Lovely quiet atmosphere with friendly, relaxed staff :)

Lovely food. Staff very friendly and attentive. The food and drink arrived quickly. We sat outside but I would've preferred it indoors as the the place was so well decorated.

I've been to Dil & the bear twice now, and neither time has been great. First time I found the staff rude, and I was quite disappointed that they had no customer WiFi even though they had a router on the counter. Visited again today to give the place another go, once again the staff were really standoffish and not very attentive at all. There was a small mix-up with my friend's order. She ordered a vegan breakfast but asked to make it veggie by adding an egg. Her food arrived without an egg and when we queried it, she was met rudely that you had to pay extra which wasn't told to us when we ordered, and apparently she failed to mention what kind of egg she wanted that's why she didn't get one. This seems minor, but the small details like that really puts you off your food. It's pretty expensive, so you feel like good customer service should be a given which it isn't here.

What a gorgeous place to visit! A very special menu with different, unusual combinations. We found it difficult to choose but enjoyed a shared salad and a sandwich each. Then we chose two beautiful puddings that I'd love to eat again. The service was great and the place was very cute and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit!

Very pleasant café come eatery.Had very nice chocolate and ginger cake with powerful ginger just what is needed when your chest is bad.Tea bit weak for me try 99 from The Coop. Not good if you have limited mobility as the seating area is up four or five steep steps. This place sells to take out.And there is am outside seating area if you can brave bad weather like my last visit ice snow and bitter wind. But would definitely come back.
