Cumulus Outdoors

I set up a fun day for 50 Ukrainian Refugees at Cumulus Outdoors in Swanage. They had an amazing day, despite inclement weather, and they all left full of happy stories to share about their great day.This was due to the wonderful facilities and activities at Cumulus Outdoors but, more especially, because of the fabulous, enthusiastic, professional, caring and fun Cumulus Outdoors staff who led the activities, and who interacted so positively with the children and adults throughout the day. Remember that many of these Ukrainians have lived through absolute horror, and continue to be away from their homes and loved ones - their day at Cumulus has, again, helped so much with alleviating their pain.This is the second year we have been able to bring Ukrainians to Cumulus and I guarantee that, if they are eventually able to return to their homeland, they will continue to tell of their adventures and fun at Cumulus Outdoors.Thank you again Sam Thompson and all your staff; you are simply amazing.

We had a fantastic company away day at Cumulus Outdoors. The Cumulus team put on a full day of activities, including team building games, rifle shooting, axe throwing and high ropes. Instructors were friendly and supportive throughout and the whole day was extremely well organised. Great food and brilliant location. Would highly recommend!

This autumn, Cumulus Oudoors hosted a fantastic Raft Building, 8th Birthday Party for our son Lawrence, who regularly attends their school holiday camp programmes, and because he enjoys it so much, we thought we would approach them to host his party.They provided us with a totally awesome, fully inclusive package, catering for 18 children.All children were well looked after, supported and encouraged in all the raft building preparations, health and safety demonstrations and the clearing up. We also feel they learnt some important new skills.We were supplied with a truly delicious two course hot lunch back at the centre, and even a home made birthday cake was included!Alex and Sasha were our instructors for the duration, and we cannot fault their enthusiasm and professionalism.The communication between us and the organisers was spot on, making it a stress free party to organise.We highly recommend a party with Cumulus Outdoors!

Did my gold DofE Residential here, there was an amazing range of activities. The instructors were very helpful and fun. The food and accommodation provided was excellent quality. Overall it was a great experience.

I booked a hen weekend for one of my best friends through Cumulus and it was brilliant. My friend wanted to go coasteering and camping but as I'm not very clued up on these activities, I was very happy to find Cumulus who organise all of this as one package which meant I could focus on the fun and games :)The hen package was hosted at a beautiful private campsite with Roxie on hand to cook our meals and make sure everything ran smoothly. Roxie was so friendly and made the whole experience that extra bit better.All tents were provided with portaloos and showers at the private campsite which was a pleasant surprise as we were expecting to have to drive for showers. We also had a large marquee tent we used for crafts and a large teepee style tent with a fire pit for the evenings.We were picked up by Cumulus team members on Saturday morning for our coasteering. Wetsuits and safety equipment was provided and the actual coasteering was amazing. It would not be my kind of thing usually but the instructors were so reassuring and good fun that I got really into it! There was no pressure to take part in jumps anyone wasn't keen on but there was also a lovely good humoured camaraderie created by the instructors that I think helped the less adventurous of us get really into it so we could all enjoy the morning.I could not recommend Cumulus enough, especially for anyone planning a hen party. I knew my friend would want to be somewhere beautiful and secluded with a bit of adventure and Cumulus really delivered. It really felt like we could create own chilled out festival celebrating our bride to be.

Really brilliant from start to finish. We had a stressful experience with another Swanage based company so moved to Cumulus. They could not have been more helpful right from the moment we enquired a year in advance, and throughout the whole process. They were so flexible in meeting the needs of our school and our children, and were very understanding and flexible with parents who needed to be chased for payment etc. The trip itself was an absolute breeze - the instructors were great and the activities were brilliant. They appeared to be developing their lake area so it will continue to improve in the future. The food is the best I have experienced on any residential. The on site chef means nobody goes hungry, including children and staff with allergies, and the additional salad bar was a wonderful addition. Really sad it is already booked up for the next couple of years or we would have been returning for sure.

Great experience. The instructors/leaders were amazing and did their best to keep us entertained throughout the week. Good food catering, and had halal options too. At least 2 hot meals on most days, plus sandwiches. Did fun activities. Best for me was the mountain biking. Actually did quite a few challenging trails and hills which was cool to try. Very supportive and friendly staff. Would recommend.(Winter Residential)

We stayed in the Bungalow for a long weekend with four families. The location is amazing - fantastic views down over Swanage and the sea. The bungalow itself was great for us; three bathrooms and a good kitchen to use. The playground was perfect for the kids and we had a great time! I doubt you could beat the value for money. Staff all really friendly and helpful too. Hopefully we'll find a time to all come back and do it again!

We had booked a camping trip to Swanage for a friends 30th birthday and really wanted to do an outdoor activity of some kind. Having looked on the internet we decided to book a coasteering experience with Cumulus and we are so glad we chose them. From the moment we enquired, everyone was friendly and informative and this carried through to the event. A number of the group were a little unsure beforehand but Jack and Jack put everybody's mind at ease, and encouraged without being pushy which made it such a fun afternoon from start to finish, with some added information on the local wildlife as well! Thanks Cumulus and thank you Jack and Jack!!

We had the best time at Cumulus Outdoors based at Studland. My class all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were well-looked after by the caring and supportive Cumulus team. The activities were perfect and the accommodation was great for a night's camping. The food were also incredible considering they were catering for so many! All in all a brilliant adventure day and night and we will definitely be returning. Thank you all! :)
