45 min trip over to Skye or back to the mainland. Great views of Mallaig and beyond. Watch out for sealife on the top deck.

CalMac staff here are always pleasant and friendly despite some challenging conditions during the busy tourist seasons.Plenty of parking available and facilities by the terminal.Good views over the sound back towards the mainland. If you're lucky enough there's dolphins about too!

Booking only can't turn up. £16 one way from Armadale to Mallaig which saved time rather than driving down from kyle of Lochalsh.Smooth efficiently run loading and unloading and set out earlier than expected. Crossing took around 20 minutes.

Great experience on the ferry. Clean, welcoming staff, quick trip to Mallaig. Online booking could be a bit easier but reservations were made with a few extra minutes. Would definitely take this route to catch a train from Mallaig and enjoy the beautiful scenery on both the ferry and train.

Very busy when we arrived , traffic staff were fantastic . Told us exactly where we needed to park and kept the chaos well under control.Ferry was not as organised and once cars loaded no one seemed to interested in the passengers.

Great way to get off of the ik kom eraan of Skye. Make sure to book your ticket in advance or you have to wait for a spot.
