I rung up as my son got disabilirys i asked lady on bar she said fire works at 9 we got there they had finished my son was so upset as was so looking forward to it i went impresed we had get taxi there as fair way but did it because he wanted see fireworks got there they had finished ppl walking away

After hockey a small few went back for a.social distanced drink. Always strange served by people with full gear on. Friendly staff, nice beer for a decent price and a place to warm up. And a toastie . Just what was needed. Will be returning once tier 3 restrictions are reduced again.

Great place for functions. Has a permanent marquee attached to the function room for guests to use, which is lit at night with fairy lights, plus can be heated on colder nights. Beer is cheaper than other places, too. Staff friendly and very accommodating, will get specific alcohol at your request if needed. Catering can be brought in from outside, kitchen available. The room is below street level, which is accessible via steps or a walkway suitable for wheelchairs. Once in the room, the gents toilets are on the same floor. However, ladies are currently upstairs. Space in one corner for DJ. Lovely grounds for photos outside, pitch has been used for bouncy castles to amuse the children, I'm assuming own insurance would be needed for this, though, or that of the bouncy castle company that you hire. Lots of space outside for the children to burn some energy off, too.

Was there to play a crown green bowling match, for the first time. The whole site was happily busy, with the grounds hosting many rounders matches. Also the tennis grounds were busy.Briefly used the bar area, which is nicely appointed.Great to see so many people out on various activities!

Total incompetent booked a room two weeks before the party get a phone call to say they double booked the room. Offered a different date no good if people have booked time off work and paid for hotels. Will never deal with this place again.
