Holy Island Chare Ends Car Park
No or limited access to the village, good parking spaces , blue badge holders park for free, lovely ice cream shop suitable for all dietary requirements, the Abbey was interesting, can get very busy

£9.50 to park all day which isn't too bad but they need to fill in the pot holes. There are loads and some are very deep. Some of the money should definitely go towards the repairs

Holy Island Chare Ends Car Park
Good sized parking area, but can get full rather quick. No parking bay marked out and when busy it seems to be a free for all. No over night parking or camping.

Very handy for the Castle and Priory, just a five minute walk to the village. It's on grass and the tracks are filled with pot holes but manageable. Gets very busy as it's the only place you can park unless you are a blue badge holder.Costs £6 minimum charge for three hours which you can pay in cash, by card or app.

Holy Island Chare Ends Car Park
Convenient large car park from which to explore Holly Island. There are a lot of parking spaces here. We visited one weekday near the end of July and there were still plenty of spaces available when we arrived and left. There aren't bays marked out for much of it so no issues with tiny or short spaces as in many car parks. It isn't that cheap (e.g. £6 for 3 hours - the minimum, £8 for 5 hours or £9.50 for 24 hours). But it is the cloest parking option (except for disabled / electric / coaches) to the centre of the Island. The machines take cash and credit cards. Plus most of the machines seemed to be working when we visited.

Not been to Holy Island for a few year. A peaceful quiet place. Few shops, pubs and Abby ruins. To can try out the mead flavours and walk along the path to the castle. Great views. Bamburgh can bee seen from here. There is a shuttle bus up to the castle. Toilet near by. Keep a check on the tide times. You Don't want to be stranded.

Holy Island Chare Ends Car Park
Big car park, £9.50 for a full day which is understandable as it looked well looked after, with litter boxes, the public toilets were clean and free if charge located just around the corner and even ice cream van was present we arrived in afternoon (on Friday around 12pm). Paid by card but the machine jammed so ended paying twice but accident..On a positive note - there are many walking routes that lead around whole Holy Island. It is a totally stunning place. It took us just under 6h (including sitting down in a local cafe for a coffee) exploring all corners of this beauty. Would definitely come back again.P. S. Always check the tide times so you don't get stuck.

The 1st car park is recommended so travellers don't clog up the streets in the town. There is car parks closer which I saw a lot of busses using. So if you really needed to park closer you can.I went to the priory. It was really lovely to walk around. The information stands help to give the story of each room within the building.Short walk around the priory and there is a beach. Great for a dog that loves water. Walk up the hill to the left. (Really rough ground with uneven stones and a sheer drop into the sea if you slip. So be careful!)And you will see the priory from a bird's eye view. There is also a viewing tower which you can go inside and climb the stairs to see the surrounding views. I saw a seal in the water.
