Liam Sullivan - Specialist Eye Care

I have very recently had cataract surgery in my left eye. I was extremely nervous when I came to the hospital for the first time but all the staff at the hospital put me at ease, by welcoming me in reception to having my eyes tested. Everyone was so kind. Mr Liam Sullivan was absolutely brilliant he really put me at ease and gave me confidence. He explained everything to me about the procedure and listened to everything I had to say. The morning of the surgery I was feeling quite anxious but arriving at the hospital and seeing Mr Sullivan I felt reassured. My cataract surgery went really well with Mr Sullivan talking to me, throughout explaining what he was doing. I am so very pleased with my sight and I can’t thank Mr Sullivan enough. My mother has as recently had cataracts in both her eyes treated by Mr Sullivan. The whole process from the very initial booking of the appointment right through until her last check up appointment today has been amazing. Smooth, efficient, caring, considerate. Everything clearly explained at every step of the way. All appointments have run to time. The operations themselves were carried out very well with her recovering very quickly and easily from both. Mr Sullivan took the time to explain everything that would happen at each stage of the process. The care before, during and after the operations was exemplary. Any questions we had at any point in the process were always answered efficiently and quickly. All facilities were clean, efficient and welcoming. We would not hesitate to recommend Mr Sullivan and his team to anyone needing eye care.

Mr Sullivan did an excellent job on clearing the lenses after cataract surgery. He was polite, welcoming and very efficient and easy to talk to answering any questions we had. We would highly recommend him for opthalmic problems.

My experience of this consultant is one of such consideration to my needs. He works very quietly and listens to my concerns and always answers any questions I have. He is an asset to the hospital I attend and I hope to have any treatments I might need dealt with by Mr Sullivan.

I have been a patient of Mr Sullivan for two years. During this time, the care I have received has been excellent. I have undergone regular eye injections and before each one Mr Sullivan has carefully explained the procedure and put me at ease. He is very attentive and takes care to answer any questions. I am 79yrs old, and My Husband has Alzheimer's. I could not wait for NHS. So started my research into Private Hospitals, and Surgeons. And found Mr Liam Sullivan, Spire Hospital, Impington. His qualifications are excellent. He explained fully and advised on choice of lenses. He was very approachable and kind. I've had both eyes done now, and can honestly say that l had no pain at all and saw and felt nothing during my ops. I was well looked after from start to finish. My hand was held during the operations, thought that was so kind, and a great comfort to me. Sent home with a care package, and instructions. A date, arranged later, for follow up. I have macular degeneration in both eyes. Mr Sullivan took over my treatment in November 2019 when my condition was at a critical stage. I had lost the central vision in my right eye and the sight in my left eye had begun to deteriorate. He immediately started a course of injections and these have stabilised the condition and prevented further loss of vision. All the arrangements for the injections are efficient and aim to minimise the discomfort.He takes a lot of trouble to explain things and show me the results of optical scans. I find him easy to talk to and am very grateful for the care I have received.

I have had cataract surgery performed by Mr Sullivan on both my eyes albeit 3 years apart.On both occasions the process from Initial consultation, surgery and final consultation has been seamless.During the initial consultation Mr Sullivan explained to me the procedure and answered all my questions/fears.During the procedure Mr Sullivan kept me fully informed on the progress of the procedure and continually asked about my welfare.The theatre staff were also extremely pleasant and caring.Prior to 'on the day' discharge I was supplied with all required medication and emergency contact numbers should I have any issues.Mr Sullivan also called me 5 days after the procedure to check that everything was still OK.My eyesight is now back to how it was pre-cataract which is affectively 20/20.I would highly recommend Mr Sullivan to anyone who needs to go through this procedure.

I had surgery on both eyes two weeks apart. The experience was excellent through out. There was an opportunity to discuss scans, options and outcomes at each step The operation itself was painless and Mr Sullivan and all of the theatre and ward staff at the hospital were informative and reassuring. Aftercare and follow up were thorough and only three weeks after the second operation my vision is back to 20:20. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Sullivans services.
