Smoking Lobster at Foresters Hall
What a gorgeous restaurant. The dining room is gorgeously appointed and has the best view out to the terrace. We were lucky to lunch there on a sunny day and although we ate inside, it felt great! The service was attentive and friendly. The Smoking Lobster team obviously takes great pride in their new venue. The food was delicious - big thumbs up for the beef tartare and the clams starters. My partner really enjoyed his pastrami too. Cocktails were lush and the wine by the glass selection extensive.Very pleased with our first experience at The Brasserie at Foresters Hall. We will definitely return!

I visited with a friend for an overdue catch up and with all the buzz, The Brasserie was top of our places to go! The food did not disappoint. The menu is extensive and we were tempted into a few different starters and the Gravlax special! The homemade pasta was incredible and everything tasted really fresh! We were so full after our mains (gnocchi to die for and a stunning blue cheese risotto with pork belly) we decided on sorbets and liquid dessert (praline espresso martini hit the spot)!Service was attentive yet we didn’t feel rushed. Overall it was a lovely evening and the hotel itself is styled beautifully with so much attention to detail. Definitely not what you would expect to find on the “sleepy” Isle of Wight!

Incredible Sunday Roast. The best I’ve ever had.. and I’ve had a lot :) delicious venison and cauliflower cheese to die for.

Smoking Lobster at Foresters Hall
We are now Smoking Lobster fan girls. We loved our meal at Smoking Lobster so much the night before, we booked here the next day. The menu is completely different but still delicious. Make sure you sample a pasta or two. The short rib ragu standout. Go as a treat, and have a good time. Thanks to Ciara (sp?) and the entire staff for making us feel special!

We sat outside on the terrace in gorgeous shaded sun - you could have been anywhere in the world!! Menu was good, lots of interesting dishes. Drinks menu also good & reasonably priced. I know it’s only been open a couple of months but I felt it hadn’t found it’s rhythm - service could have been slicker but main server was very friendly. Food was very good, well cooked & presented beautifully. But again just slightly “off point”. In our seafood linguine and King Prawn & octopus salad just TWO king prawns in each?? Really? Desserts were delicious! Overall we enjoyed our lunch but may wait till the season is over until we return.

We booked the day before, for a group of 22. The restaurant was very accommodating, very friendly team. Looks after us we had a good choice of a set menu. Food was great, nice wine, not overpriced.
