Amazing centre with fab staff and lovely horses and ponies. Can highly recommend.

This was my first visit. As an ex police mounted officer, I have to say how impressed I was with this stables. The whole area was superbly clean, and the horses all appeared to be very clean and well groomed. They are clearly very well looked after. The staff I met were very friendly and appeared to care for the animals. If first impressions count, this is a superb centre.

My daughter started riding here about 6/7 years ago. She now has her own horse, which we never thought would happen and do livery here. Wonderful place and the people that work here do an excellent job. Great place to learn to ride, take up riding again or private lessons to suit your requirements.

This is the best riding school to safely learn the amazing sport of horsebacking riding or enjoy a thrilling hack, guided by expert and well trained staff. Founder/Owner Gail Stimson is a joy. Having known her since the first day this education center was established, this British Horse Society certified coach, has trained and entertained thousands of children and adults, of all levels, on her fine stable of quality, well trained horses. The location is idyllic pastoral England. Riders can learn the basics in their indoor arenas before venturing out on the stunning trails or even enjoy a day hunting, renting one of Gail's fine hunters. THE BEST RIDING SCHOOL IS HERE!!!

Nice friendly staff, good first time lesson for young kids.

Been riding at Somerby for 12 years and it’s an incredible place! Tried other yards but nothing compares, there is such a wide range of horses and lessons at Somerby, something for everyone regardless of age or ability. Such wonderful staff and so many instructors, everyone is so helpful and friendly and all know what they’re doing. Would highly recommend to everyone!

My daughter has been riding on/off at Somerby for a number of years. The yard is welcoming, staff friendly and professional. It’s a busy place with lots of beautiful, quality and well cared for horses. Looking forward to spending more time here in the future.

Brilliant place! I was fortunate enough to go out on a hack last weekend with two friends, having not ridden for a few years I was slightly nervous. Keeley was just fantastic, super friendly, took great time and attention with us all and made the hour most enjoyable! Thank you!! Will definitely be back!
