Direct Housing

I recently moved out of property that was being sold by the Direct Housing Sales team. It was very smooth experience as the tenant leaving the property. I was grateful to Clare from the sales team who was always flexible and patient. She was very honest and directly communicated with me throughout the whole process. Thanks!

DO NOT USE THIS LETTING AGENT! When I moved into my flat a year ago it was filthy. I had to clean it myself as the estate agents did not arrange for a cleaner to come and did not respond to complaints. Now I have left my flat, I am being charged for leaving things that belonged to the previous tenant in the flat and for meticulous clean that I highly doubt will actually be done. For example, I am being charged to clean the floor under the fridge when the fridge had mouldy food stuck to the shelves when I moved and the floor was definitely not clean. I am being accused of lying about this and their customer service is incredibly poor.Not happy with my experience using their services at all.In Response to the reply below:If by 'ironing out issues' you mean threatening legal action and hanging up on people then yes you handled the issue before I posted this review.I did not refuse to clean it, I accepted the payment for cleaning as I was unable to return to Birmingham in the 24 hour period I was given.Fortunately I can post pictures on this review so I can show the supposed unacceptable state I left the flat in.I understand it was a busy period when I moved in, but there was no excuse for the filthy state it was left in. The member of staff only cleaned my dirty fridge. I left the rest for a few weeks when I went home but when I came back it still wasn't cleaned so I did it myself.Please stop being so rude and lying. This is the worst customer service I have ever received.

I have been contacted with Ms Jennifer. She was apart of the team who provide us the information from the sales, payment to the contract. She was very informative, flexible, and fast reponse. We rent the house nearby Selly Oak, the house is just as same as their explanation. We through the house checking and signing contract smoothly, thanks to Ms Becky. Just one thing, maybe it is about the billing management that has not yet done, but they are also willing to help us.

Absolutely awful experience today from this agent. Today should have been the reunion of 5 friends, really excited to see each other again. However, they went home at the end of the day as the house they thought they would live in this year can't be lived in. The property was dirty, covered in cobwebs all over, definitely not Covid secure, shabby, paint peeling off the walls, loose dangerous carpet on the stairs and the 'inspector' passed it as perfectly clean. She even suggested we should hoover the ceiling and she would knock off £10 - off what, I wonder.?Please stay away from this estate agent, as they are not to be trusted to provide you with a house that is in a fit state to be lived in. Their unprofessionalism was shocking. I am so angry that 'nice students' as they put it, are constantly abused and taken advantage of by these rogues. Do not use this estate agent. They are appalling. I have more photos but what's the point?

I enquired at direct housing and was provided with alot of helpful information about student housing for my daughter. I received some great help from becky. Can't recommend them enough.

I’m a student from Malaysia and I had such a great time finding a house to rent. My father called the office and talked to Melissa. She was so helpful and very friendly too. Then I got to communicate with Jennifer through WhatsApp and she helped me throughly step by step (which I was so grateful for ).
