Great location, the place is great but the owner/host is abrupt and can be very rude.The area hardly gets phone signal and the wifi barely works.Finding the entrance to the house is very hard and you will miss is it the first 2 times. They need to put up a visible sign or something bigger than a small rectangle.Otherwise it was a great week.

Geraldine at Crosswoodhill Farm really came to our rescue when my mum had a long stay in St Johns hospital. Without her we would of struggled to find anywhere to stay for the two months she was a patient. We stayed in all four self catering properties over the two months and they were all fantastic, especially Craigengar, the grandest house I've stayed in. Thanks again G.

Amazing, luxurious house - Stayed at Craigengar Lodge. Beautiful surroundings, clean, spacious, lots of gorgeous bathrooms, huge reception and kitchen area... Perfect for our Calmblue Spiritual Retreats (held two there so far). G was so attentive and friendly. We will be back to do more!

Recently stayed at Steading Cottage and was very disappointed with cleanliness amongst other things. Far too many glasses, mugs and crockery in kitchen when all we needed were half a dozen that didn't need a good wash before use. The wet room floor was dirty and MOP head badly needs to be replaced. White rugs are no longer white and neither are tea towels. Only sitting out area is next to bins. Also didn't expect to be next to busy road with lorries thundering past and awakening us in mornings. Far too many old books and knick knacks all through house.All in all very surprised by previous reviews, can only imagine standards are slipping.

Had a fantastic stay here in a lovely cottage. My 2 year old boy loved his room and the toys. Ge, the land lady couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend.

Thought I would review here having noticed a recent guest left a rather poor review on Steading cottage. My family and I stayed here over Easter for the fourth year running. Had no issues with cleanliness to be honest. Yes, some minor details may be showing their age but for self catering accommodation this is a very nice, clean and luxurious cottage. The website has photos of all cottages from almost every conceivable angle so you can judge for yourself which style and decor suits you most . Kitchen is indeed well stocked" (surely a benefit as most guests agree)

Spent the weekend here with our family, excellent accommodation, plenty of space for the grandchildren to play, especially the outside area. The house was in a secluded area with beautiful views and the sheep in the field added to the enjoyment of the kids, would certainly recommend.

Nice clean accommodation in country side between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Parking and play equipment for kids, but be warned you have to pay for electricity and heating at end of week

It's lovely if u want to stay outside of a town. The host is superb, kind and very detail with her information. The house is complete and the kitchen is fully equipped. Every room is designed to perfection. Really comfortable for big family.
