Absolutely brilliant I'm over the moon fantastic service

Two stars for the first visit and initial consultation.We wanted our hall, stairs & landing done on a budget and a time frame. Our first visit was lovely - no hassle, no pressure - and we were welcome to borrow samples to check colour match. Recieved personable & friendly service.We decided on the carpet, booked a measuring appointment, and were told we'd get a quote within a couple of days and the fitting could take place after a couple of weeks, well within our time limit, without a problem. We were also promised fitting of some laminate flooring we had for in a small bathroom with no problem.We never got the quote, even after we went in to chase it. Ended up going to a chain carpet fitter and having to make special arrangements for the fitting. Very unprofessional to make promises to a customer and then renege.

Went in early on a Saturday just to get a quote for small piece of carpet for a repair. John gave me a free tear off which was way more than I needed even when I insisted on payment, got a great deal on some spray on adhesive too. Will be back if I ever need carpet in future. Top bloke, amazing customer service.

Excellent communication throughout, made best use of existing underlay and grippers which saved me money. Came to measure with samples in hand which saved me a visit to the shop. Extremely helpful, very tight turn around to meet a tight renovation schedule. Couldn't be happier. Most competitive quote also. 1 x very happy customer- many thanks.

Fantastic service. After a hick-up with some very expensive flooring in our new bathroom, we needed to get a replacement fast. We visited a couple of well-known flooring shops who couldn't help us, then we remembered John's carpets round the corner from us. The lady was really helpful, going through dozens of sample books and checking stock availability until we found the perfect one. Best of all they got it delivered for collection within 2 working days and even provided the door tread for free. We won't even consider going anywhere else now and love the fact that they are a small, family-run business. Whole-heartedly recommended.

And the 1 star is being kind. Paid a lot of money for the house to be carpeted only for it after a year to being so matted that it will all need replacing. The guy in the shop even recommended this carpet and said it was of high quality. Since we have contacted them with our disgust of how our carpet has deteriated after such a short time they are not interested at all In sorting this problem out.I WILL NEVER BUY FROM OR RECOMMEND JOHN'S CARPETS AGAIN

Polite, friendly and no 'sales pressure'. A pleasant experience from the moment you enter the shop door. Carpet was fitted swiftly and perfectly on the day booked. Nice to buy from a local family-run business. John's Carpets was recommended to me by a friend and I am happy to recommend them to others.

The whole experience was a joy from beginning to end.A good wide selection of carpets from a small private business.The fitters they use are well known and have worked for this company for many years.They arrived on time with tools and carpet, it was understood from the beginning that we would dispose of the old carpet and underlay, but even so they tidied up and bag all they could.They left my house as if they had never been clean and tidy.What more can you ask.As for the carpet absolutely lovely under foot.
