For six years after moving back to the Borders I commuted from Selkirk to Edinburgh to have my hair cut because I didn't think anyone else could cut it properly. Then, when my usual hairdresser didn't reopen after lockdown, I nervously went to Michelle. How I wish I had tried six years earlier!
