Was born there on June 6 1959. Now residing in the unUnited States of America since 1968 as a Resident Alien, US Army Veteran and still a Citizen of the UK. I'm hoping I can retrieve my mother's hospital records so I can ascertain the time of my birth.

I used this hospital twice. Once for the breast ultrasound and once for emergency eye-care. Amazingly fast and efficient. The nurse at the eye-care was a lovely nun. First they check your eyesight, just general examination then you go to another room where they treat you. My eyes were obstructed by small pieces of something and that was cleaned out by a lady doctor who reported to a head doctor. One advice: go there early if you can because of parking especially when mobility is restricted or eyesight problems.

One of the best experiences I’ve had on the NHS, I was previously paying for health insurance (couldn’t afford it anymore) and this seemed quicker and more friendly! I was seen at the Parapet for breast cysts, I arrived early and was seen right on time, Ruth who examined me was very friendly and put my mind at ease immediately, after that I waited less than five minutes for an ultrasound and was given the all clear immediately, had I needed a biopsy they would have done it there and then too. All very efficient and done with the most care. (I had longer wait times when I was paying privately and had been for several consultations without a solid answer over the last 7 months, this was immediate.)

my experience with the cafe in the hospital not the hospital . was very racist staff and 1 minute before 11am i wanted a toast and she said there is no more toast left ,however she was carrying 2 bags of toast in her hands her name is shadiana aka shaz. its not the first time this has happened as I visit this cafe before . i hope the hospital management deals with this because it is the only cafe available at this hospital . they are VERY rude and VERY racist.

Took our 2 year old son to the eye casualty yesterday following a same day referral from the GP. Seen really quickly by a lovely doctor who was able to identify the problem easily. Thank you.

I was referred to the eye unit for vision issues by Specsavers in Reading. The doctors checked my eye out and fixed the two holes they found in my retina on the same day.The staff were friendly, reassuring and efficient. Thank you to the whole team for making this worrying time as painless as possible for me.
