They did some work for us by building a new garage and we were impressed at the time. Although they were slow we put that down to covid. We then required some more building work and went back to them. Big mistake. Very similar experience to another reviewer at the same time. Namely not turning up, not answering calls. Left us with a similar huge mess whic like the other person we have had to get another contractor in to sort out.

We have used Kingsmarque numerous times for work on our property, and always been more than satisfied.There are many reasons why I would recommend these guys - they’re super quick at what they do, and will consistently work long hours just to get the job done in an efficient and tidy way.Communication is always there, giving us constant progress reports, and making sure we’re in the know with everything. This has generally not been the case with builders we’ve used in the past.They are also very reasonably and fairly priced.James really takes pride in his work - it’s clear it’s not just a job to him, he really wants to get the very best from every project. He’s a real grafter, and that work ethic resonates throughout his team.Work they have done for us:- Re-tiled and felted our whole roof, pitched and flat, in just a few weeks.- Knocked out our old front wall and built an awesome new one in a different spot, repaving the driveway as they went.- Cut out decking, groundwork done and cement base laid for hot tub.- Identified a water leak in our loft and fixed up within a couple of hours- Fixed up fallen guttering etc at a moments notice

James and Dave carried out exterior work during our loft conversion pre lock down. They were extremely professional, reliable and helpful. We would recommend them to our family and friends and we would use them again for future projects.

James and Dave are top class professionals who have delivered works that have exceeded our expectations. We have the home of our dreams thanks to James and Dave (see photos).James and Dave parachuted onto our project as we had to replace our original builders who were abysmal. Without James and Dave we may never have completed let alone achieve the finish that we wanted.To sum up, great guys who do a great job. Definitely worth the wait to get James and Dave onboard your project.

In July 2022, we gave our first-floor extension project to James and Dave after seeing positive reviews on their site. They messed up horrendously and when their mistake was discovered, simply ran away. They built the extension too long. This was spotted by chance by the building inspector. By this time, the whole extension was in place with only the internal works left to be done. We had also paid them the full cost of this work including payments for the materials. We applied for retrospective planning application at our own cost, but it was rejected and we were served an enforcement notice by the council. We repeatedly asked James and Dave to come back to rectify their mistake and finish the project. Initially, after many messages, they responded by saying that they will be coming back soon. However, this never happened. After Christmas 2022, they simply stopped responding. We raised a dispute via the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), of which James and Dave’s company, Kingsmarque Construction, were members. They did not engage with the process and in the end were expelled from FMB. We have now employed another builder to rectify their mistake and finish the project. However, we are discovering that they made fundamental errors with the structural work which now needs to be rectified at a huge cost to us. The impact this had on our mental health has been devastating. With the benefit of hindsight, looking at the way they work, and their general attitude, they never took our project seriously. They took many days off without any prior notice as they were working on several sites at once. Please avoid them as they will ruin your life.

We own a very old cottage, which needed updating. After meeting with James & Dave, we decided to hire Kingsmarque construction to lay our new floors, fit underfloor heating, and to do some odd jobs around the house. This was the best decision!The guys are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. Even though the job took a little longer than expected, they were still on top of their game until the very final day, even working at weekends and late evenings to get the job done, well done! We have dealt with other contractors before, and by far the best I've experienced! Will be using this company shortly to carry out some extra works!

Very pleased with our house roof installed by James, Dave and team. Whole job was carried out in less than three days - with skips and scaffolding all managed around the family.Extremely competitive price - would be happy to use again!

James and Dave were excellent. Their energy, professionalism and quality of work was appreciated. They built an extension beneath a thatched roof enlarging the kitchen considerably.Despite problems thrown up by an incompetent architect's drawing; they swiftly adjusted and capably worked through the difficulties presented.

Last year James and Dave got us out of a sticky situation when some windy weather took the render off the outside of our extension which was poorly done by some other builders. We decided to replace the render with hardiplank. They did a great job and we also got them to replace all the soffits and guttering . They were clean and tidy , turned up on time and did an excellent job.
