Me and some friends were visiting the area and stumbled upon this pub. Great place, friendly owner and staff, two good pool tables, good beer and lovely back beer garden. Definitely will be visiting again

Stopped for a tea and a coffee on the way home and pleased we did. For long enough I've thought about calling in here and finally got around to it, and wasn't disappointed

Found by chance on a day out in Norwich. Friendly staff, great menu and lovely location and atmosphere. Very close to market place and to the castle. Walk from pub to castle passes art galleries and craft shops. For food and good beer as part of a day out, we'll worth a visit.

Typical local pub, with great beer, a roaring log burner, friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. Great experience - and best of all - it's a Bateman's pub!

Came to see a live band Scappa Flow who were excellent , pub not currently doing food only fish and chips on fridays, good beer , good service and good atmosphere.

Visit for a birthday lunch. Overall I think that the pub did a good job under the present restrictions. Nice outdoor seating area with a well constructed covered area also. I am not the best person to write pub reviews as am not really a regular pub goer. However my thoughts are that the food was faultless but.... I can't understand why drinks are so expensive. The pub trade was in a bad state before the pandemic and if a recovery is to be made the industry needs to sort out drinks pricing... The previous comments are in no way meant to be detrimental to this venue who in my opinion did a good job
