The White Horse
Had so called chicken tenderbites for starter with a side dip of chipolte jam( which I found a piece of chicken in) 4 small pieces overcooked and far from tender. 3 lots of fish and chips with a good portion and a good size fish but again all dry and overcooked. 1 starter sent back and waited an hour between starter and main. On questioning a staff member we was told there was only 1 person cooking. Not good enough when people are handing over hundreds of pounds to eat. Been about 5 times in the past but sad to say i won't be returning, expensive rubbish and had better at the local chippy.

All your servers were helpful and attentive. We were waiting for two people in our party who were running rather late. We was not rushed and was advised we had the table for the evening and when we were ready just to call them. One of our guests had cold chips served with their meal and this was rectified immediately. Haven’t visited for years but will definitely be retuning. Thank you.

Went for a birthday meal for my father, we were a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meals, they do a pretty good variety of options for people on different diets. My partner and I are vegan, my mother is vegetarian and the rest of the group eat a standard" diet. We all enjoyed our meals and everything was cooked and plated well. We all got 2 courses (starters and desserts) and I also drank (I was the only one in the group drinking alcohol) and the cocktails are delicious. The atmosphere here is lovely and we came to the resturant at a time it wasn't crowded so there was a nice calmness to the place. I'd really like to credit the resturant staff on their great service though as I ended up asking if an item that wasn't even listed individually as a resturant item was vegan and when it was confirmed it was they brought it with the starters which I appreciate as they still worked with my request despite a vegan bread starter not being on the menu. They also listened to my mother's request for extra flavour in her drink as they brought the flavour out and added it to the drink to her taste. I appreciate the willingness the resturant has to work with customers and how friendly all the staff faces are and how fresh the food is - thank you for a great experience. Only thing I could say if I was to reccomend something would be to potentially add a few more vegan options - that aside

Improved massively since our last visit. Seemed understaffed but the one waitress we did see was working very hard. Food was really nice but seemed overly expensive for what we had.

The White Horse
It was very busy and the staff were hard pressed but they were all delightful and cheerful despite that. Service was a little slow but totally understandable considering the volume of diners. The food was pleasant although I found my lasagne very salty. Halloumi fries were delicious. We really enjoyed our evening and would definitely come again. I also noticed muddy paws were welcome in one part of the pub which means I'd love to come to lunch with a doggy friend.

Love this place. It’s perfect for any occasion. Great atmosphere, very tasty meals. Highly recommend! :-)
