Halifax

The Halifax telephone customer officer refused to help me to collect my direct debit payment that was sent to Aspire Sports centre back due to sudden closure of the company. Aspire company knew they were shutting down and still collected peoples direct debit payment today. The Halifax telephone officer was very very rude and cut the phone on me.

Every thing here takes an age, NO privacy tellers to busy chatting ignoring MASSIVE waiting line. Then the very sarcastic sorry to keep you waiting

For a so called bank that cares about its customers w I was very annoyed at my visit I wanted to change the type of account when I asked if I could do it at the counter I was told I had to make an appointment I then waited 15 minutes to talk to anther person ref an appointment I got told I have to make an appointment and wait just to make the 1st appointment.This is so annoying I have now withdrawn and closed the account and invested some where I just walk in the do what I want with no appointmentsI would not recommend the Halifax again

We had a very pleasant experience at Halifax, Gloucester branch today. I had called to make an appointment to discuss my children's accounts the previous day. Christopher returned my call promptly and was very friendly, professional and helpful. We were fitted in with a face to face appointment quickly. On arrival at the branch the Gentleman behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. Christopher was very helpful and explained everything fully. We did not feel rushed and Christopher was knowledgeable and down to earth. Thank you for the excellent service.

Visited 24th March. The staff was very polite, professional, and friendly. Especially the handsome and young Morgan. He is a credit to the business and everything was sorted easily, he explained everything perfectly.

I went into the bank today, to get help setting up my mobile banking app for my phone. Jonathan helped me to do it all, without being patronising or condescending. It took no time at all and, although very professional, he was very friendly and made it such a pleasant experience. One happy customer here!

Popped into the branch to discuss viable mortgage products for my new home and was met with the friendly personalised service I have expected over the past 2 decades with banking with the Halifax. Recommendations and advice on what product to get were based on our circumstances and we were left feeling very satisfied. Spot on for customer service and satisfaction.

Covid 19 Support and Help....I think not !!I've been a Halifax customer for over 30yrs and during that time my account has ALWAYS been handled correctly by myself. I even have a Halifax Credit Card (which is close to its limit but is always paid on time via Direct Debit) and I once had a £3.000 loan as well that was paid in full over a year early !!Today I contacted them as funds at home are quite low due to the working environment thanks to Covid 19. As Halifax have made a big publicity splash about how good they are and how they are here to help their customers I asked for a temporary increase on my Over Draft .... but the computer says NO !!"They guy I spoke to suggested I went to their debt management team which I took as an insult considering the increase wasn't to be used for a specific purpose but was required

Had a credit card and bank account with them and suddenly they closed down the credit card account without telling me. Couldnt get internet access to the account for a couple of weeks? Suddenly they transferred the account to another one with a new account number! So disorganized - couldnt trust them so went to nationwide.

Would give zero stars if I could. I went into this branch on the 15/2 (Friday) just after dinner to ask for some advice off any member of the team or a manager.I could see one member of staff had someone in the booth selling mortgages etc, a manager and 1 cashier on the whole floor!The line was getting longer (10 long) then the manager walked behind one of the cashiers in one window and just stood behind her and then printed something and then stood there.I think almost everyone walked out, staffing issue and obviously training issues.
