Millennium or Sidings Wood (Parish Council wildlife site)

It’s lovely walk

A relic of railway sidings which has grown up as a small woodland. Under management by the Parish Council. Although small, home to a variety of features including some wet woodland parts, with abundant salix (different species) and several old broadleaf specimens, including oak and hawthorn, as well as new growth including birch, hawthorn, hazel, holly and rowan. Worthy of further management for wildlife and preservation as a wildlife refuge.
