A wonderful wetland that attracts different kinds of birds ... and visitors. Advised to bring your own binoculars and spend at least three - four hours to walk in the tranquil park, appreciate the melodious songs of the birds and watch the beauty of the migratory birds. Free parking. Adult admission fee is £7.50.

As a keen bird watcher and photographer, this place is really abundant with wildlife from birds, seabirds, ducks, waders, birds of prey, and insects When I visited, there were millions of dragonflies perfect for hungry hobbys. There was a lot of work going on on one side of the reserve when I visited on 04/09/23. Admission to the reserve is £7 but free for RSPB members. All prices are available on the website. It's recommended to take binoculars or a camera with you, although binoculars are available to hire. There is a very spacious car park. The reserve is very well maintained. You can see over the dee estuary from certain areas. There are 3 bird hides and 2 viewing screens.

Wonderful place to come and see a huge amount of birds. The car park is a good size though it does get busy. You can either pay on site or for a small monthly fee come as often as you wish. The walk ways are well maintained. Good enough for buggies and wheelchairs. There was also an electric scooter. You can stand or sit in the hides and watch the birds. You will need binoculars or a better zoom than mine for some birds as they are at a distance. There are feeders about for smaller birds so children can see closer. The staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and will help in any way they can. There is hot tea and coffee, snacks and sandwiches to purchase also. Just a great day out. One of my new favorite places.

Finally got to visit this lovely place. Staff so helpful, easy to find, lots of free parking. Bring a pair of binoculars to spot the beautiful birds who are visiting. They have a superb cafe, for refreshments. Well worth the membership, so you can return on another day or visit other RSPB reserves
