Been in/phoned several times enquiring aboutdifferent things but never hear back. Not sure why I gave them a second chance as they clearly don’t want/need the custom.So much for trying to support local business.

Some years ago the gentleman owner of Christopher Stephens Jewellers adapted a ring setting for me to accommodate a rubellite. I went to the same jewellers today with a view to having a colombian emerald set in to another diamond ring. I knew it would be challenging, so discussing the feasibility directly with the jeweller would be time saving. As I entered I looked towards the workshop area and said I was looking for.. The blond lady behind the counter said, hes not in today but I can help. I asked if she was a jeweller, she replied in a brusque tone no im only the owner of the business and walked away. Another lady there said that she was a jeweller. I also started to ask the blond lady about a ring in the window but she said no, no and indicated that I should only speak to the other lady now. I said oh youve taken offence havent you and she admitted that she had. The blond owner's attitude and demeanor made me feel so uncomfortable, I felt I had no alternative but to leave. The blond lady said bye bye several times whilst directing me towards the door with a dismissive hand gesture. As I walked out of the shop, the other lady who seemed lovely, rushed up saying that she was also the owner and wanted to help me. I apologised saying I couldnt stay after the experience with her blond colleague. How awful being in business with such a horrible rude person. I wont ever return and have taken my diamond ring and emerald elsewhere. My rating was based on todays experience.

Nice little jewelry shop friendly people and they do repairs

Our family has bought many beautiful pieces of jewelry from Christopher Stephens over the last 10 years. We've bought brand new items and antique jewelry that has been restored. We've also had items custom made/designed from scratch. We have had wonderful service and received high quality items each and every time.

We bought our wedding rings from here. Not only were the rings beautifully made, but the owners are very friendly and professional. Excellent customer service and overall experience. Highly recommended.

Great service. Had two worn looking white gold rings serviced here and they did an excellent job, looked like new! A very teary, happy wife on collection.

Awful awful experience with the woman who works here. Couldn’t answer simple questions with a straight answer and was so utterly rude. Horrid.
