The Winchester Bakery
Such a beautiful little bakery in the heart of Winchester. I had the pumpkin red striped croissant and I absolutely died and went to heaven. It was amazing, crispy and buttery and flaky and autumns.

A little disappointed with this visit. Tables weren’t wiped , no spoons available. No Christmassy atmosphere upstairs .. all a bit uninspiring.Had a very nice coffee and lemony pastry at the end of September which was great

Stumbled upon this eatery whilst walking around Winchester so we decided to pop in and check out the coffee which was 10/10. The building itself is also a gem, full of character and history. The staff were great too. .

This is a very tricky review score to give as it was a very mixed bag having lunch here.The kombucha would have been nice to have had glass with ice but not a big deal.However the sandwich that cost £7 was shocking it was mostly bread, hardly any chicken, sweetcorn or even lettuce. I have had better sandwiches in Lidl grab and goes that cost less than half what I paid for this sandwich.But the cake was fantastic and almost redeemed the whole thing. My top tip don't have Lunch here but a cheeky slice and coffee would be a great idea.

The staff were all SO lovely and SO welcoming. So many delicious cakes to choose from, decided on the cookie s’more slice on the recommendation of the staff member and omg it did not disappoint - it was gorgeous! Such a stunning location and gorgeous cafe. Even the Earl Grey tea was delicious! 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

The rain was coming down sideways and it felt like 4 below......the sign on the door said come on in. Its warm in here" so we did....and the sign did not lie. Very good service from the beginning. Lovely helpful and cheerful waitresses and a great cup of coffee. Filled croissants were excellent. All very enjoyable except the tables were a bit grubby and could have done with a clean. A few Christmas decorations would not have gone amiss and on a personal note......I dislike dogs in restaurants

Visited this amazing bakery with my friend and colleague during a school trip and couldn't be any happier. Excellent coffee and polenta cakes and the staff were super nice. We came here 25 minutes before closing time and felt really welcomed as we were also offered a discount on the cakes. A big thanks to the barista who saved me from a man who was following me to the bathroom. My friend told the guy I was in danger and he didn't hesitate for a second and ran up to save me. Thank you for that and for the whole experience!:)

From the staff to the food, my experience here was lovely. I had a sausage bap and a huge coffee which were delicious. The highlight though was the staff. I can't imagine running up and down those stairs all day, let alone being friendly while doing it. But when my food was delivered it was done with a smile and he made sure I had everything needed to enjoy my meal. I would come back for the great service alone.

A lovely building but we had to have a pastry to sit in with a coffee, to be eaten from a paper bag (had to ask for a knife to cut it - plastic given!) No plate and no silver cutlery. Short staffed hence staff were not over friendly. Such a shame. We found a lovely French Patisserie 5mins away.
