Been here twice, both times the cut was most definitely not as described, and the second time the dresser was both rude and had to point out that the price was different to the one advertised because my hair was being cut an inch longer than the person next to me. Avoid this place unless you want a generic cut with little styling effort (male cut)

Really friendly staff. Very skilled hairdressers . Best place in town to get hair cut. Very nice interior and the staff make you feel welcome. Been coming here for over 2 years now.

Now, it's a few years that I have my hair and beard done by Diana. Everymonth, I leave Mode Hairdressing satisfied for the cut on my hair and trimming on my long beard. Mode is multicultural with stylish from different locations of the world. The value for money of the service is very good plus location is fantastic, next to Newcastle university, in front Eldon Garden shopping centre, and below a big parking stores. I really advice to try Mode to males and females (nails could be done too)

Absolutely loved my daughters hair. Super friendly staff and Leanna really knows how to deal with curly/frizzy hair. Would certainly recommend!

I've been here two times. The first time was quite okay even it felt a bit rough, how she used the comb. After nearly two month now I went a second time. The small women was unfriendly and treated my head as she had something cooking on the kitchen stove. She cut my sideburns very asymmetric so I have to cut them by myself at home. She even didn't show me the backside of my head or asked me if everything's alright. Even for £ 10,- I expect a bit more for such a service.

Fantastic well priced unisex salon out of the way but not too far from Eldon square, so plenty of things to do while you’re waiting for your slot. I can’t fault them, I’ve had a fantastic mop chop every time I’ve been and it’s not expensive.

I'm really dissapointed with both my experience at Mode and my hair cut. After seeing the offer on Groupon I called up to check they had apps available on Sat, was told the offer wasn't on anymore but they could fit me in on Sat with the groupon reduced price and do my daughter's hair too, was really happy with this. I had my app on Saturday for myself and my 3 year old little girl to have a trim. When first going in, there was another lady there waiting for her appointment and her hairdresser hadn't seemed to have turned up, so had to wait a while the stylist doing my hair made some calls and got the hairdresser in question to come in, making calls etc.I described that I'd like about an inch cut off but layers just trimmed and got ended up with a couple of inches off and my shortest layers way up my head. not what I wanted at all and really upset and don't have time to maintain a style like this (can barely tie into a pony tail). Luckily my lttle girls hair is actually fine but she told me after that lady had hurt her ear with the hot hairdryer (she did the same to me!). She also hardly spoke a word to me and when she did, wouldn't describe it as a friendly manner. Also while I was there another lady was very unhappy and waiting for the manager to complain to. Came across as being a complete shambles. Not an experience I will ever wish to repeat (and also got charged full price for the cut rather than the reduced price agreed over the phone). Feel upset, annoyed and ripped off.
