My partner and I were looking for a van to help us move items. Other companies (Avis, europcar, hertz, thrifty, enterprise) were all charging at least £350 for 4 days hire. Bayfield charged us £220 for a van considerably larger than major competitors mentioned. Received a full overview of the vehicle before signing for it, staff were friendly and helpful too, the van was clean and fresh. We needed the van a bit longer, to which Bayfield had no problem with only charging us a small fee for the additional 6 hours after the drop off time. Can’t recommend them enough, will definitely re-use in the future.

Booked a van and rang enquiring about the forms and the staff cancelled our booking for asking a simple question. Got nothing but attitude and had an email stating that my resevation was cancelled and to refrain to contact again. Over a simple question worst company in Telford

I just want to say a massive thanks for the great service, having only booked the day before, for a last minute house move we have been really pleased with the service, quality of vehicle and price. Will definitely use you again. The flexible drop of times was a real peace of mind.

CHECK WHAT YOU ARE PAYING.Have used this company for years without a single issue. Staff have always been helpful and polite. Honest and straight up. This month, hired another van, no issues, quoted 210 a week. As always, check if plus or including VAT. Told inclusive so as I regularly book, signed hire papers. Only to find out when going through my bank statements that the price is PLUS VAT and when questioned the branch manager gets irritable and aggressive. Even the Shrewsbury branch agreed the price they charge is inclusive of VAT but I'm unable to now book there as the Telford manager has put his big boy pants on and blocked my account even though I have hired numerous vans without any damage on return and always recommended Bayfield over any other company to anyone asking about van hire.So Sutton Maddock, who are cheaper, but require a deposit, you now have my ongoing business.To anyone hiring at Bayfield though CHECK CHECK AND CHECK AGAIN your paperwork and do not rely on a verbal phone call.

Needed a van to drive to Europe and they were extremely helpful even sorting an automatic knowing I was driving long distances. Van was perfect and included European breakdown kit

Battery died twice on the van while I was moving, I informed the manager. Long story short as I don’t want to waste any more time on these types of companies he had zero sympathy for me being stuck for ages in the dark and cold while trying to move out of a house which isn’t the easiest experience. After a back and forth discussion he said what do you want?I said I was just talking it through with him and I said would you be happy to let me walk out of her miserable and he said yes I would. Ended up leaving feeling very angry. No sympathy or customer service.Also parking sensors didn’t work in a 20foot van. Go to enterprise or someone with more experience in customer service and maintenance. You get what you pay for.

Micheal Jenkins is an absolute joke! Tried taking me to court for damage to a vehicle. Lied point blank and even forged my signature on the report and added damage to it when it wasn’t even me! Van door never opened and told me he had proof. Then had the audacity to send a video of someone else saying it was me. Absolute tosssser. All the best… from sunny Cyprus
