Quiz night here is a blast. The quiz masters excel and the company and banter is brilliant. Usually held on the last Friday of each month with a bar as well.

Cockburnspath weekly post office. East Linton provide a 2 hour post office service in the Cockburnspath community hall. Between 9.30am and 11.30am every Wednesday. Fantastic service and well used.

The Cicerone guide to the Southern Upland Way describes Cockburnspath as slightly uninspiring. Well I beg to differ! I'm giving 10 stars to this wonderfully welcoming village and it's community shop. I arrived tired and thirsty on Sunday lunchtime after completing the 215 mile Southern Upland Way. No buses and nowhere to camp or stay the night. No problem" said the lady in the shop
