We've attended this venue several times and have been welcomed by the lovely team there. Thank you for having us and hope to be there again soon with our party team!

First time I've been in and went there for a wake the staff are lovely, had a pint of John's Smith's views are gorgeous overlooking the golf course.

The course was in great condition, better than some private courses. The staff were friendly and the bar was fairly good too.

Nice course, stuggled a bit in some of the rough areas. Good value course.

Great course friendly atmosphere

Haven't been for years due to how poor the course was last time I played. Played on Friday and was so pleased to see The Barnsley Municipal in such excellent condition. Small changes to the holes but more importantly the condition of the course itself was so much better than I remember. Best municipal in South Yorkshire!

It was a good venue to visit. Staff are really friendly and catered to our needs. Didn't get much of a look at the course itself but, the building and the staff on the grounds are really welcoming.

Barnsley golf course I played there early July the course was in good nick played short due to the lack of rain the greens were in great condition and very tricky l enjoyed my game + the staff were friendly l had a bacon buttie which also was good my overall experience was good pete stead Hillsborough member nice day

Municipal course in fantastic condition. The Pro was very welcoming and friendly, and even chased us on the first to give us an update regarding the use of a temporary green. The members were happy to share tips as to what to look out for, and we were joined by a solo player who was a regular, who gave us plenty of tips.Don't be fooled by the yardages.....there are some very tricky holes on the course, providing a challenge for all levels and abilities. If you're looking for a challenge, a change of scenery, and a course in near perfect nick that won't break the bank, get in here. We had a great morning's golf and will certainly be back for more.
