Purser & Luxford: Excellent MOT and repair service, car back on the road in 24 hours!I recently took my car to Purser & Luxford for its MOT and any necessary repairs. I was very impressed with the service I received. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they kept me informed of the progress of the work at all times.Unfortunately my car failed its MOT on a couple of broken suspension coils, but Purser & Luxford were able to get it fixed and back on the road within 24 hours. I was really grateful for their quick and efficient service.The repairs were also very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Purser & Luxford to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable MOT and repair service.The staff were friendly and helpful, and they explained everything clearly and concisely.They kept me informed of the progress of the work at all times, and they didn't start any repairs without my approval.They were able to get my car back on the road within 24 hours, despite the fact that it had failed its MOT.The repairs were very reasonably priced.Overall, I had a very positive experience with Purser & Luxford. Excellent experience with this garage. I bought one of their cars on finance, everything was approved and sorted in 2 days. Luke Jnr was incredibly responsive and helpful, and when I picked the car up, Luke Snr had everything ready for me so it was no hassle at all. As a young woman, I have been made to feel incredibly uncomfortable in car garages and service centres before so was anxious about picking the car up on my own, but the staff here were lovely. Highly recommend this family run business.

After responding to an advertisement in the Auto Trader I rang to ask about the car that was advertised. The staff I spoke to were very helpful and friendly and happily chatted to them about the car and about a possible part exchange.From our conversation I was keen to go and look at the car but couldn’t go for a few days. I arranged a day and approximate time and rang them the day before to confirm that I would definitely be coming, so they promised that they would not sell the car to anyone else until I had seen it.When I got there I was very impressed with the clean, spacious showroom and the quiet, friendly calm which was very relaxing. We chatted for a few minutes and then I was taken to see the car. Everything about it was explained in detail, the car was immaculate, spotlessly clean and exactly what I had been looking for for a few months. All of my questions were answered, various functions were explained and demonstrated and then we negotiated the part exchange price.The whole procedure was a pleasure and my only regret is that they are too far away from me for me to go back for repairs and servicing in the future.I drove home a couple of hours later in my ‘new’ car feeling elated, as it proved to be all that I had hoped for in the car, having only seen pictures of the make and model before so was depending on it being what I wanted and of course it is perfect for my needs.I have no hesitation in recommending Purser & Luxford, a lovely family business who have only had this business for (I think they said) a couple of years. They deserve every success and they are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Also they are not pushy in any way and if I had decided not to go ahead I’m sure they would have been just a friendly and helpful.The icing on the cake was when they unexpectedly presented me with a lovely box of chocolates just before I drove away.When and if I change my car again I will be back. Never had such a smooth buying experience. Part exchange and all. Luke was on the ball and got everything sorted, vehicle registration and tax, in a breeze. Would definitely recommend their service.

Called in today as car started to make rhythmic blinking noise (as in indicator on)Despite being really busy, Luke arranged for an engineer to take a look at the problem and the issue was quickly sorted. Apparently there was an update due but the car computer got itself stuck !!!Many thanks and would definitely recommend P&L
