Food was lovely. Bar staff unaware of what wine they sell, after asking for a zinfandel and being told they don't have it, when in fact they do.

Lovely atmosphere, full house and greeted by the delicious carvery aromas!Staff very attentive, food excellent with great portion sizes giving value for money.You will need to book but definately worth a visit.I'm going again to experience the carvery next time!

Chef very generous with meat portions and the biggest Yorkshire pudding ever! Food was very good for a carvery, lovely buttery swede, good selection of vegetables. Pleasant waiting staff. Overall a good experience. Nice to have somewhere to pop to if you want a break from cooking.

Just back from our first visit since reopening. Really impressed. Despite a slight delay with the tables due to a mix up, which put staff under a lot of pressure, they were all really professional, stayed calm and were apologetic, friendly and attentive. The carvery was lovely. The best I’ve had. Piping hot, and well cooked. Excellent value at the Thursday special price of £12.50. One of our party had fish and chips which they said was very good too. Congratulations everyone.

4 stars, heavily Influenced by very reasonably pricing. 15 quid for a carvery and 7 quid for a desert not bad at all.Staff were friendly and polite but just seemed to be a lack of structure to what they were doing resulting in some long waits between orders and courses. Get the service sorted and it could be a 5 star place.

Our first time back since the pub was taken over by new management and we had a great time! Staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the pub has definitely retained its family-friendly vibe. There wasn't a huge selection on the menu, but the food itself was amazing! It all came out in good time even though the kitchen was short staffed. Great value, great pub, will definitely go back to try their roast soon!

Stopped on spare of the moment and found great food, friendly efficient staff, and good prices. This time may have been on route but we would definitely go out of our way to visit again!
