Quite surprised with previous bad reviews about this place. I went there without any appointment, the receptionist and the nurse were so kind and helpful, not like what people said. It's less than 30minutes wait before my turn. I'm not sure maybe the nurse will be different in each day or time, but I went today, Thursday around 5.30 pm and everything was nice.

Excellent service, the young man on reception greeted me with a smile and was very courteous towards me. I was seen by a brilliant GP who listened to me, thoroughly examined me and had me admitted to the RVI within half an hour. The building was clean and tidy too.

Been there today for Sinusitis. The waiting time was about an hour and half but understandable as it was quiet busy. Lovely nurse examined me and prescribed antibiotics, even went the extra mile to speak to my GP on the phone to make sure the right medications are perscribed. Nurse was lovely and chatty. Definitely recommend it

It's a sad state really shouldn't blame the people working their because of cuts things have become really bad... saying that the attitude of the staff is really bad they are miserable and have no sense of care... one experience waited 1 hours were called in nurse wouldn't see my 7yr old son said it's nearly closing time at 7.50pm and took temperature, blood pressure (I knew they were fine wanted chest check in case there was infection he sounded really bad hence reason for going) wouldn't check that said come back in morning we open 8am or if concerned A&E!! We were out of her room within 2mins... couldn't believe what had actually happened!!

So I used to visit here quite regularly with water infections and the place was great friendly reception staff would definitely recommend (about 2/3 years ago.) Unfortunately I visited yesterday and when I walked in the place was quite full but I was feeling under the weather so I was obviously going to have to deal with it anyways I walked up to the desk and the receptionist said what’s the problem? In a quite rude tone and I just responded by asking for an assessment form and she said oh it’s a 2hr+ wait i said I would wait but the tone in her voice suggested that she didn’t really want any one else there and I thought it was so rude because 1- she doesn’t have to do much work it’s not like she’s the nurse / doctor checking everyone out2- it’s her job and she shouldn’t be huffing and puffing allover the place she should be doing what she can .Anyways I probably would have recommended this a few years back but not now

Receiption staff are extremely rude and aggressive towards patients. Especially late at the night for appointments. Utterly degrading the way they talk to people from shouting down the tanoy on the door to shaming them for not remembering exact dates or asking questions. Whether it is busy or quiet the service is horrible. On a more positive the doctors are often extremely helpful and caring. It's a shame the reception staff are consistently rude.

Short waiting times but the nurse I have just seen had a really bad attitude and basically said I was wasting her time, even though the waiting room was completey empty. It made me feel really uncomfortable and I felt like walking out, she had a go at me because I had seen my doctor 24 hours before hand. I feel I was misdiagnosed and feel a lot worse so went for a second opinion as there is always long waiting times at my normal surgery and after previously going for my son I knew it was always quiet

Had an appoitment here for a copper coil IUD. Reception, doctors and nurses were beyond kind and incredibly professional!I have nothing to criticise! The reviews had me concerned, but I'm glad to say I had a positive experience.

I was seen within minutes of filling in the form required and the nurse I was seen by was so lovely. She was so helpful and really kind when I didn't feel too good. The receptionist was also really polite and more than willing to help. Westgate has a fabulous walk-in facility!

Visit on 23/07/22, hardly anyone in. Did not waited for long when I was seen. After I saw nurse, I realised why hardly anyone was in. Behaviour of nurse was zero star and attitude was sky high. I was thinking that I have committed a sin to come here although it says on one of the poster in there DO NOT WAIT TILL IT GET WORSE". I was there for my child who was not feeling well. She is only 4 year old. I was concerned for her health that's why I went there but the behaviour of nurse was not helpful. Even he whistled to call us
