I understand that you are visiting a Farm shop so fully expect to pay a higher price which I’m on board with however feel that the portion sizes are in need of review by the restaurant. £9.50 for a charcuterie board which included two small slices of cured meat and two slices of salami, some rocket and a small slice of focaccia, it is advertised as a small plate but definitely felt over priced. We also had a portion of chips which cost £4.50 for a tiny portion.

Great selection of ice cream flavours. I got the raspberry sorbet and figs & mascarpone, both are good flavours! Great portion as well. Will revisit!

Two stars for the excellent customer service and decor but unfortunately not much else to praise. The cafe was quite empty but waited a long time for just some bruschetta and a smoothie. When the bruschetta finally arrived it was just pizza sauce on cold bread with some crushed plum tomatoes and a bit of rocket. It was £6.50, too! Pebblebed white wine also served in the same glass as the tap water which meant it warmed before I could finish it; a stemmed glass would have been appreciated. Really wanted to enjoy this place as I love Darts Farm but just disappointing.

Not suitable for coeliacs.I ordered the Honey mustard chicken salad. It came out cold because the ovens are cross contaminated and not cleaned. I literally received a plate of romaine lettuce, with some cold chicken and a bit of the sauce and parmesan. The chicken was dry and very chewy...Not sure how they can attempt to charge £11.25 for this.Senior member of staff came and offered me a different meal, but it had really put me off, and I already didn't have a big appetite, hence choosing the salad"...Really wouldn't recommend this place."

Okay, here we go. Taken to table quickly by friendly member of staff and promptly given menus (which were a little grubby). Second member of staff came to take order after appropriate time (which was good considering how busy the place was). He too was friendly (but not so smiley).3 meals ordered; fish, burger, chicken salad (listed as GFA). Essentially there is a Glueten Free option, but, its cold chicken and no croutons.Half the drinks order arrived (full of ice and no smile or eye contact ), salad came next (they call it a salad"

They offer a dog-friendly area, but unfortunately, it's not clearly marked. The only indication is a sign that reads 'bar area,' leaving customers to guess its location. A simple solution would be for the establishment to take two minutes to print an arrow or provide better signage. On the positive side, the brownies were quite tasty.

We had scones/ cake at the Cow and Cacao. The food was very nice. It was busy but the service let it down a bit. Some of the cups/ glasses were not clean and chipped. We had to ask also for some of our order which seemed to have been missed.

We had been looking forward to trying the honey gelato here for ages. It's so expensive, so we had been waiting to go for a special treat. We finally went at the weekend. We ordered our ice cream at the counter and then sat at an empty table next to it to eat. We were promptly and bluntly told by an employee that we weren't allowed to sit there because we hadn't ordered from the cafe menu and would've needed to pay extra for the table. The person at the counter hadn't told us, so how were we to know this beforehand? There were loads of empty tables spare. And you're not allowed to sit at a table after having paid them so much already? The employee said we could stay because it was raining... So she had just come over to put us in our place and then let us sit there anyway? It really ruined the whole experience and it has put me off even visiting Darts Farm again. The gelato itself didn't taste of the flavour it was supposed to be at all, and very overpriced.

We were a group of two families meeting at Darts Farm having travelled 40 minutes to get there. We joined a queue of people who appeared to be waiting to be seated in Cow and Cacao cafe. When we got to the front of the queue we were rudely told in no uncertain terms that they could not accommodate us even as two separate groups of a four and a five. We ended up eating outside in the rain and the cold. Not pleasant, not welcoming and overpriced. Pretentious and dismissive waiting staff in Cow and Cacao. We won't be visiting again.

I get it; we were eating at a farm shop so we have to pay farm shop prices for the high quality product we get. This I do not have a problem with. I do have a problem with the quality and price of the accompanying products. We ordered the fish and chips for £17.00 and had to pay an extra £1.95 extra for mushy peas. When it arrived the fish was excellent - what you would expect but the mushy peas came in what can only be described as a thimble and the chips were not chip shop/real potato but the preprepared frozen kind so having to pay £4.50 for an extra portion really got to me when they arrived.Cut to the other dishes ordered: the Dirty Hot Dog was great with ample toppings of pulled pork and pickles - although I thought the bun may have also been either slightly stale or unfrozen. Was it worth £12.95 with no accompaniments apart from the thimble of coleslaw?... debatable. The burger on the other hand was excellent and I definitely had food envy when placed next to my hotdog. Beef from their hand-reared cows topped with thick bacon and cheese - great stuff! The pizza was really enjoyed by child 2 and was ample enough for her. Finally the drinks: the chocolate milkshakes were excellent (very chocolatey remarked child 3) and the fruit smooth was thoroughly enjoyed. My flat white was warm - not hot - and was more like a latte if I'm honest (needed more coffee).Sorry to moan: we went into it knowing it would cost a lot and that was ok but there were a few sticking points which I had to share when shelling out £90 for lunch for 5!Thanks if you made it this far!!
