My partner and I bought our first flat and quickly realised that the build quality was absolutely awful and you could hear everything from our downstairs neighbours. If they had been speaking English we would have been able to understand their conversations. I could hear the guy below me snoring, coughing, or even walking around the room. On the other side I got frequent complaints about my music.We decided to pay Soundproofing Scotland to soundproof the room I used for music. We explained the entire situation, and they recommended doing the floor, and in their professional opinion it provided the best solution to our problem. It cost just over £1500.I remember the exact moment, after the work had been done, when my partner and I had set the room back up, sitting peacefully and feeling excited to be able to play freely again - when I hear my neighbour below me coughing.The soundproofing did exactly nothing. My partner even confirmed this when she went around to complain to the neighbours about their own noise. They offered us a £300 partial refund. Frankly I think the entire amount should’ve been refunded as it did exactly nothing.Some quotes:“The floor will make a significant difference for you and I would definitely recommend it, soundproofing is fairly expensive so I always suggest going for one section that is definitely going to make improvement rather than doing everything. Yes, it will block airborne noise coming up from downstairs too.” - WRONG. It did nothing.“We don't need to visit the site beforehand” - They didn’t even come round to inspect the room or check sound levels at different parts of the room or building. We trusted them since they are the 'professionals' but more fool us.In the end we had to move. We packed up all of our things and had to leave our home. Do not hire this company.

Really satisfied with the work these guys undertook. The sound proofing has significantly reduced what was endless disturbances from the neighbours in the flat above and I can finally enjoy a full night's sleep. It is now very difficult to even tell when they are there.Guys were always punctual & friendly. Cannot recommend enough if you're debating whether to go ahead with soundproofing or not. Wish I had committed to this sooner.

Needed room sound proofed due to loud neighbours great job, not to mention previous plasterer done a pathetic job finishing the edges on my main wall where my TV is, absolute eyesore for any visitors, Rob rectified this to perfection, no mess and very reasonable price.
