Incredible selection of books and so many with gorgeous hardback versions. The tote bags are beautiful too. The shopping experience felt like a wee treat and you could lose hours there. A must visit for London booklovers!

Such a lovely shop. Crammed full of books and the staff are super helpful & friendly. I passed by a member of staff recommending books to a customer in a specific style that he requested. This is great to see. I really liked way that the books are organised into countries of the world and they have a fabulous children’s section also. The shop is laid out exactly like in the pictures online. I was not disappointed with my visit, picked up some great books that I would not have found otherwise I am sure.I hope to be back very soon!

Truly near the top of the best bookstores. I particularly love that there is a separate section dedicated to every country. A place you can browse forever.

Cute little book shop that I actually saw on Instagram so decided to visit. Interestingly, they order books by country when you go further into the shop, which was actually quite nice. Shop is bigger once you go into it, there is a downstairs (steps) and an upstairs (small set of narrow spiral steps). Once upstairs, the setting is like a balcony of books, so it can get more congested when upstairs. Nice atmosphere, and light and airy inside. Shop is smaller than I expected but that's not an issue. You could get a wheelchair inside (little step to get over) if someone can assist, but to go up or down you need to use steps. Quite narrow in the shop once you go in so might be difficult during busier times.

Excellent multi-storey bookstore. A large portion of the bookstore is grouped into geographical sections (so books about Eastern Europe, the US, the UK, South America, South Asia, etc.), but also into general sections like Children's Books, Writing, etc. I believe there is something for everyone here. The staff is very helpful; in particular, I'd like to laud the efforts of the staff researcher who helped me find excellent books about the evolution of the English language (and helped me discover new and interesting authors in linguistics as well). I'd definitely love to come back and spend a few more hours here.

A beautiful Edwardian bookshop with an extensive collection of travel related books and novels. A short flight of stairs leads up to a long oak gallery with stunning skylights. Staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful in recommending books that they personally read and liked. We always end up with a clutch of books after visiting the bookstore. Do note that the bookstore hosts talks by authors, and this is a ticketed event. Some parts of the bookstore may be closed to the public for browsing during the talks. You should check in advance if you are making a special trip just to visit the bookstore.

It’s such a cosy and beautiful bookshop, with so many variety of books. I love that they classify the book into regions of the world, sets it apart from other bookshops. It also helps in search of a different kind of read. Wish there were some chairs to be able to sot and soak in the atmosphere.

A lovely old and characterful bookshop with beautiful glass architecture. As well as the lovely surroundings it's actually very well stocked with an excellent range of books over several floors. A shop with both style and substance, definitely worth a potter around if you're in the area.
