AIM Escape Rooms

Hit and miss, we did a room last month with AIM and it went well but when we did another room with them recently, it felt like they'd overstretched themselves. There seemed to be 2 people game managing 4 rooms and as a result I think they lost that personal touch.We didn't get offered a photo either this time and I think our walkie talkie wasn't working but luckily we ended up not needing it desperately.If you go, go when it's quieter as you'll get a more personal service.

2 of us did the new Hotel of Horrors room and escaped in 55 minutes. The room was fairly difficult and we needed some clues to connect the dots, our host was very helpful but didn’t give too much away. Overall the puzzles and theming were pretty good!We’ve given the room 3 stars because it really wasn’t scary at all, despite it being advertised as that. Also, there are quite a few elements within the room that are unexplained and have nothing to do with the game, creating confusion. We understood that these used to be part of the game but we’re taken out due to issues…In terms of the story, the ending was really anti-climactic, there’s so much that could be done, but it falls a bit flat.The website suggests that all of the rooms are automated, with lots of technology and no locks, combinations and keys. This room had a mixture of locks and keys and there didn’t seem to be much tech involved at all. This wasn’t a huge deal for us, but some people might feel mislead about that.

Really fun experience. Loved the laser room in Spy Heroes! Well decorated rooms. Friendly and welcoming staff member (Mads B). Only issue would be the very low lighting in the first room (light sabre not provided), which made it difficult to see all the clues.

So this is meant to be the second best escape room in London, they even have revolutionary" in their name. The Hotel room we did is rated 5 stars for scariness and unfortunately they really missed the mark. Nothing in that room will scare you. No jumpscares

We brought a friend here for her birthday. In the first room, we asked the staff to confirm if the 3 numbers we had were correct, we were told that they were, (3 times we checked), then 35 minutes later when the lady came in to help, she changed one of the numbers to something different. We wasted so much time (& let’s face it, it’s not cheap either) in that first room because she fed us incorrect information. I am sad we brought my friend here for her birthday, it was very disappointing

Hotel of horror, one of the rooms, was supposed to be scarry, unfortunately it wasn't. The room was a good size with 3 different rooms and a good selection of puzzle types, compared to some single room escape rooms it seemed a little sparse but it was just quite spread out, definitely better for larger groups as their are puzzles that can be tackled non chronologically. Unfortunately we didn't complete it in time, apparently we were on the last puzzle. Also unfortunately, we didn't get a picture at the end, maybe because we didn't succeed.

Good escape room, which was a lot of fun! Our host was a bit lackluster when introducing the room and there were fewer puzzles to solve than other escape rooms I've done, but still had fun and would recommend to others.We tried the Spy heroes room, which I think would be suitable for 3-4 people, including younger participants.

Psychopath's Den. Probably the least favourite escape room I've ever done. After driving for over an hour to get to the venue, we received an email just as we were parking the car to be told the room was not available after having booked the day before. Fortunately, we managed to phone up and got them to agree to let us in. The background music is way too loud especially when there are critical instructions being given on the screens. Loads of red herring writing over the walls. The copper pipe tracer is too long and wastes way too much time -where's the fun in that? The clear perspex maze for the metal ball appears to be broken with several walls missing (this may be intentional?) There just doesn't seem like there are many puzzles to solve. UV writing is very faded and should be freshened up. Unsolicited hints were not appreciated. You should wait until people ask for a hint, or at least ask if people want a hint before giving spoilers. No plans to return if this is how all of your escape rooms are run.

We did patient zero, we were told that we would need to use a variety of touch screens to complete the room, so when we started we poked and prodded any screen we found. We struggled with a few bits entirely because we didn't poke and prod the screens in the correct way, which was a bit frustrating. It didn't feel very intuitive.The ending was very anticlimactic too, we solved a variety of puzzles, and then without really realising that we were even close to the end, the lights came on and the exit door opened. No fanfare, no exciting explanation of what we had done to save the day. It just sort of ended.

It was a good experience and amazing escape room.Only thing to improve is that the staff could get more involved in acting, I’ve been to other escape rooms where we’ve been treated like prisoners from the start (after the consent form of course) in a prison escape room for example.That would add to the experience.It was good fun though
