I am very surprised to see such negativity towards The Shaker Kitchen/Workshop. I purchased a kitchen 2 years ago and the kitchen to this day looks as good as new. I am now looking to purchase another one for an up and coming project and would not hesitate to use them again. I had a great experience from start to finish. I have and will continue to recommend them. Thank you & See you very soon for another beautiful kitchen!

We are beyond delighted with our kitchen from The Shaker Workshop. After visiting many kitchen showrooms, we knew immediately that we’d found the company for us after a visit to their showroom in Cirencester. The quality is far superior to others and the price was fair. But what’s impressed me most is the service, which was just above and beyond from start to finish. Hermione, our designer, offered various iterations of the design, never once giving any hint of anything being too much trouble. And Karolina has been equally impressive managing the whole process of delivery and installation brilliantly. Thanks to the whole team for a brilliant result. All in all, it’s a company that clearly care about their clients. I’d recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

We just had our new kitchen from The Shaker Workshop and are very happy with the result. Our designer Caroline was helpful from beginning in getting us the kitchen we want within our budget. She accommodated without fuss any changes later on as well. Towards the installation all the staff communicated well and things went smoothly. We recommend The Shaker Workshop to anyone looking for affordable good quality Shaker style kitchen!

You should only order a Shaker kitchen if you do not value your patience, self-respect, time and - most of all - hard-earned cash.It would be too boring to go into the litany of broken promises, missing items, unavailable items, damaged items, substandard items, amateur rectification, unpaid refunds and total lack of communication. On this last point, don’t be taken in by the shopping experience - the showroom staff are great but the back office is hopeless. It is impossible to get a meaningful response from them. Please note that things are no better under the new owners; they are very evasive and clearly have no respect for customers. On this page, you will see that the new owners are using weasel legal explanations to try to shrug off these reviews, which does not change the horrendous customer experience. (But, as they are being technical about their acquisition, let’s look at that too; I very much doubt they are servicing existing customers out of the goodness of their hearts. It is more likely that the revenue of the existing customers’ contracts is one of the assets that they bought, which means they have legal obligations to such customers.)There is also a review from Mr Grunfeld, who is apparently the founder of the Shaker Kitchen Company (whose assets were acquired by Shaker Workshop). He clearly does not respect the voice of his customer, which explains why the culture of the business that he has transferred to Shaker Workshop is so poor. Legislation such as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 was introduced to protect customers against the attitude of businesses such as Shaker (in both its guises). The business seems toxic so only deal with them if you want to be contaminated. It is an ugly experience.

I would just like to say after reading some of the reviews I am shocked that some customers have had bad experiences. I started looking for a new kitchen for a property I bought with my wife about 6 months ago. We went to a few different places but came across the shaker kitchen company and from the start we loved the kitchens that we saw. We arranged an appointment to see one of the designers at the Cirencester showroom and detailed what we would like in our kitchen to fit within our budget. Not only were the designers incredibly informative when going through our kitchen plans, they also managed to fit everything into our plans without going over budget. We finalized our plans after a couple of weeks of getting everything perfect and paid our deposit. This is what confuses me about the couple of other reviews. Some companies take your money and everything changes, they don't answer calls, they aren't as interested anymore as they have you committed, but not the shaker kitchen company. Far from it in fact. They would call me and update me on how my order was coming along, if I had any questions they would always come back to me within a couple of hours, they could never do enough for us. However, at the end of October we received a letter prior to our kitchen being delivered that the shaker kitchen company had changed over to the shaker workshop company in some parts of the business. This did concern us as it would anyone as we hadn't received our kitchen. However shaker and their staff again called us and explained everything that was going on and reassured us that our kitchen was nearly completed and on its way. From that point on our stress was relieved and around a week and a half later our kitchen had arrived. From start to finish the whole process was an absolute joy. We have a beautiful new kitchen we could not be more happy about. I would highly recommend going and seeing what the shaker workshop has to offer you!

We have just had our new kitchen installed and I am thrilled with the results. Why 4 stars not 5? We did have some communication problems over the Christmas period and my wife and I did get slightly worried I must admit, especially after seeing some of the other reviews! We were eventually called by one of the new managers, Maria, who quickly put our minds at ease. There were apparently some phone system/IT problems or something, which have now been fixed? Anyway, this aside we have had a great experience from start to finish. If the worktop is fitted on Friday as promised, I might consider making this a 5 star review. Well done The Shaker Workshop, I look forward to recommending you to friends and family..........especially when you fit my worktop as promised ;)Update: Worktop fitted and everything finished as promised! We are very, very happy with our finished kitchen and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends. Great job and thank you to the Shaker Workshop. Great quality and great value. Well done all!

Gorgeous Kitchen - Great service. We have a gorgeous kitchen. I will start this review though by saying one thing. Communication over the Christmas period was not great. This didn’t affect us too much as our Installation started last week (Jan 13th). We were then contacted by the new directors, who I must say did a great job in restoring our confidence, and more to the point, proved to be telling us the truth as our new kitchen arrived on time and was installed efficiently and with no hassle.I am leaving a five star review, despite those slight communication issues, as I believe this company deserves it. The new directors seem to be doing everything they can to help customers, they definitely have done with us. I WAS ASKED IF I WOULD WRITE A REVIEW, if I was happy to do so and I wholeheartedly feel very comfortable to do so.We have a gorgeous new kitchen and are over the moon.

We have just had our kitchen installation. It is almost complete and we are very happy with the result. As a note of caution, as we did not fully recognize this at the time, it is a dry install only. The terms of how the kitchen must be prepared for the install are exacting and it did raise the costs for us having to organize for extra plumbing visits. We also had a stone work surface provided. The company who measured were excellent but their installers were not as professional. The upstands are not finished and we are having to pay a decorator to return to caulk (apparently this is normal but again an extra expense). Also our appliance was damaged during the install and we are currently trying to get the stone installers to accept responsibility. The overall communication was good but there were times when it could have been better. The design process was faultless though and nothing was too much trouble.

If you are thinking of purchasing a kitchen from The Shaker Workshop Ltd, you may be interested to read reviews on several sites relating to The Shaker Kitchen Company Ltd.The Shaker Workshop Ltd is a brand new company (formed on 15th October 2019) that has been set up to take over the trading activities of The Shaker Kitchen Company Ltd.One of the Directors of the Shaker Workshop Company (who I dealt with originally as a senior member of The Shaker Kitchen Company) tells me they are selling the same products, and that they have kept the majority of the staff. As you can see on this google listing, this new company continues to operate out of Unit 3 Emmervale Ct, Cirencester GL7 1PZ.They do have a new brand name and website, and as you will have seen from their responses to reviews on this site and others, they are very keen to distance themselves from the original brand. My 1 star review spans both businesses as it relates to the horrific experience I had with The Shaker Kitchen Company and continued into the period when they started trading under The Shaker Workshop Ltd - which was a year after the original deadline. This may give you some idea of just how challenging an experience it was. Before investing a lot of money, time and energy into a new kitchen it is always prudent to do your research, and check out any potential company through reviews on 3rd party sites. Trading standards are also a very helpful source of information.
