Ultrasound Direct Swansea

Had a full upper abdomen ultrasound scan which was very thorough. Sian the sonographer was excellent explaining the procedure and clearly discussed all the images of pancreas, spleen, gall bladder, liver and kidneys. The whole procedure took about half an hour. It took place in Swansea in a small unit with excellent parking I was very happy with the friendly and caring manner that Sian showed. I was very glad I used Ultrasound Direct. It avoids the hustle and bustle of an NHS hospital and is far cheaper than a private hospital. When I arrived home there were all the ultrasound images and a report in my email ready to be forwarded on to my GP.5 star excellent.

I was recommended to this place from a friend who had had a good experience when she went last week. The scan was a very reasonable price compared to Nuffield however I was not impressed with the people skills of the sonographer we had who was very abrupt and couldn't wait for her shift to end on a Saturday afternoon!! (18th November). She appeared to be annoyed that she couldn't see everything because she said my bladder wasn't full but I had drank a pint an hour before as instructed and they took us into the room earlier than our timed appointment. I asked her if I could wait ten minutes for the bladder to fill but she reminded me we had half hour appointment only. I felt that I was being a complete inconvenience to her even though we paid £145 for this! She was not approachable at all and I felt very awkward by the whole experience! When my husband asked her a question she was very dismissive to him! It does say on the leaflet that they are happy to send the information and pictures to your GP but when I asked her she said that that was my responsibility. The receptionist and assistant Laura was however very warm and friendly and I think she felt for us throughout our appointment! I think I would prefer to pay extra somewhere else if I knew I was going to be treated more patiently and warmly! Would not recommend except for the cheap price!!!.

I never usually leave reviews, but felt compelled as there are so many different options nowadays for scans.Tamsin and Beth were amazing from start to finish. They went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable and memorable for all the right reasons.Tamsin printed out so many images of our baby and even gave us a sneak peak of a 4D scan!Beth included a gender scratchcard for my 6 year old daughter to scratch when we got home! Such a nice touch and something she didn't have to do.I won't use another company for maternity ultrasounds after my visit yesterday!Thanks again both, we are over the moon xx

Such an awful experience. Something meant to be so exciting made me feel horribly anxious with no reassurance and very unhelpful and unfriendly staff. would reccomend window to the womb over ultrasound direct any day.

Jess the sonographer is so lovely. I had used another well known ultrasound clinic in Swansea, but this clinic is a million times better. The staff are friendlier, Jess explains all the movements and points them all out to you. She makes you feel so relaxed and at ease. Highly recommended
