Novo Motors

Recently purchased a vehicle from Novo Motors and thoroughly delighted with the deal and service from Jay. I had been looking for a specific model for some time and found it online with Novo Motors. I flew in from Italy to collect the unique car which was true to the advert online and had been detailed to a very high standard. A professional, swift and honest service, thanks again Jay. Delighted.

Edited from original post.At first, all seemed well with my experience with Novo Motors - Lovely showroom with some really nice cars inside. Decided on a car there and then that I had seen advertised on Autotrader and struck up a deal with the owner Jamie to to arrange a PX for my old car. A few weeks later, finance all sorted, keys exchanged and I drove away happy in my new car.A few weeks later, I start getting calls and letters from the finance company of my old car saying that they still had not received the settlement payment from Novo - Long story short, This ended up taking several weeks to resolve with numerous calls to Jamie to get this sorted. There were apparently issues with the cheques that had been sent to the finance company, the first one which hadn't been banked and then the second one had gone missing? I mean, who uses cheques nowadays to pay off £10k?? In the end, after much chasing, Jamie settled the finance via bank transfer.All sorted now, right? Seemingly not... it appears the DVLA hadn't been notified that my old car was no longer with me either so I was receiving letters from them chasing the tax for it, and I have also had to apply for a V5 for my new as I never received that either after nearly 2 months! Luckily I had the green slip to save me shelling out the £25 for a new one.All in all a very stressful and unpleasant experience, with lots of unnecessary running about and chasing after something which should have been sorted as soon as they took my old car as PX. Bit of a shame really as Jamie is a nice guy with a good business, but the admin and paperwork side is lacking completely.

Jay was very nice in person and was nice to deal with, as soon as it came to dealing with things after purchase Jay was unreliable and left things unsettled for months causing a lot of hassle. Wouldn't recommend going here, very unproffesional.

Excellent customer service from start to finish. A genuine and honest dealer. Which is rare to find nowadays. The showroom is well presented and professional. A no pressure environment with a wealth of knowledge from Jay. It was refreshing to buy a car from someone who clearly places being a car enthusiast as top priority when dealing with customers. The car was as described and immaculate. Looking around you could see that there was only quality genuine vehicles in stock, which gives great confidence.A thoroughly enjoyable car buying experience - as it should be!! Jay was nice in person but nothing but hassle and messing about after purchase with things not being sorted for months. Also very innacurate details on website about vehicles.

Bought a Type R from these guys just over a year ago that was told was very well cared for (and top money). Turned out to be the exact same car that James T (few reviews down) bought and subsequently returned. Unfortunately by the time this was brought to light it was too late and the car has since had to be scrapped. Very unimpressed.

Jay seemed friendly and reliable! We bought a car from him and traded in ours for a straight swap. This all seem super efficient and easy. Just what we wanted with a 1 month old baby. Nice and easy.That was on the 22nd September. When October rolled around and I still hadn’t received my V5c for the new vehicle and having received a parking charge for my old vehicle I contacted Jay who reassured me that the paperwork had been processed and there was a delay with the DVLA.November 5th.. still no V5c. So I call the DVLA. No registered keeper to my new vehicle. And no there is no delay on their side. They are currently processing paperwork from 1st November. Grand.Good job I kept the green slip Jay told me I ‘probably wouldn’t need’ otherwise I would find myself with £25 charge to get the vehicle registered in my name. Not impressed at all. Does this mean I am also still the registered keeper of my old vehicle?Seems like a great honest dealer but I beg to differ.Gave a big speech about doing it right the first time and being honest with customers.Couldn’t do it right though. Didn’t do it right.

Never buy a car from these, unless you expect extremely poor after sales.I bought a Honda civic Type R from these guys, they told me before I make the 3 hour journey the car is near on immaculate. They told me the car wouldn't be ready for a few days due to it needs to be mot'd, I go up on the day we agreed on and there is no sign of life. I wait around for the car I'm buying to turn up with the owner of the company knowingly I wanted the engine to be cold upon arrival. I checked the car over from what I could and all seemed ok. I px'd my run around car and cash for the civic, I get the car home and get it up on the ramps to find it COMPLETELY rotten underneath, along with bodged brake lines they had fitted to make it pass the mot (which had an arm long legnth of advisories which he kept hidden well). I call up to tell him I will be returning the car the next day for him to tell me he's got to check with his boss. I take the car back and 6weeks later I get my money back! AVOID!

Nice choice of cars here and really nice staff. I’ve bought a Golf GTI and got a great spec for the price. Really helpful in sorting the finance for me too. Would recommend.

I purchased a beautiful BMW M2 from Jay. He offered me a great deal on the trade in on my Audi and the overall experience was great. I would highly recommend buying from Novo Motors. My experience of buying from main dealers has never been positive, so this was a breath of fresh air. Jay also offered to assist with ongoing servicing through his network, which was very much appreciated.
