Elephant Insurance

Most horrendous car insurance company I have ever used. Take 50 years to answer the phone and emails go unanswered even though I'm still waiting for an update which I was told would be given to me in a liability dispute. Overwhelming evidence supporting me to prove incident was not my fault yet still waiting. It doesn't take nearly a year to work out who's at fault. Waiting for my £1,100.00 excess to be returned to me and took god knows how long to pay out the settlement for my vehicle. Fed up with Elephant and would rather rip every toe nail off with a pair of pliers than use this joke of a company again.

Spoke to Josh from the renewals team today and he couldn’t have been more helpful. After receiving a high renewal offer I called to discuss how we could lower this and he saved me a total of £209 through a short 10 min conversation. Also was not kept on hold and the conversation was put through immediately.

Still on hold, phoning to talk about auto renewal for my insurance, I received the auto renewal today via email. When setting up the policy last year i requested auto renewal taken off, my new quote is £980 my other quotes online are £580 so trying to discuss it with them. So far as i write this i have been holding for 1.09.28 minutes... This is absolutely shocking service for a paying customer... If they are this desperate to keep the renewal higher than everyone else then they have lost my trust in an insurance company

Everything was fine. No problems at all. And then after cancelling, the agent said everything was settled and I was due a refund of £15 and then days later received an email saying I owe a payment of £78 and sent me a default amount for the amount ! Potentially ruining my credit score because they don’t know how to calculate cancellation costs. Absolutely ridiculous. Waiting to hear backUpdate: They offered to listen to the call we previously had and what the agent had said.They called back and offered to waive the costs. Happy the problem was fixed.

I have been their customer for 6 years. Never failed a single payment never made a claim, but when I sold my car in the end of September (policy was due to expire on 11th of Nov) they charged me with the cancellation fee" of 27gbp!!! When I made a dispute over the phone I was told that I dont need to pay the oustanding amount but now a month later I'm receiving emails from the debt collection company! Avoid this "insurance company" at all costs!!!"

Shocking customer service!Had an accident last night, website was working until I had to make a claim. So phoned up at the opening time on Sunday, to wait on hold for half an hour to be spoken to like absolute rubbish by a staff member working for admiral?!! So now I have another 24 hours of worrying because I'm unable to make a claim! Then hung up on on the phone! Disgusting service so far..

They must have cheap rates. But if you ever have a claim, good luck collecting! I had a door dent from an Elephant Policy Holder. Customer service was practically non existent. I was passed around from agent to agent. After 40 days in the shop and hundreds of emails and phone calls, they finally paid most of the claim. Horrible experience through out the entire process. I would not wish Elephant Insurance on my worst enemy.Phillip Parham would just talk over me so I put the policy holder (co-worker) on the phone and Philip hung up on him. TWICE! I had my car repaired at a large Lexus dealership in Dallas. They said they will not accept claims from Elephant Insurance ever again after dealing with this company’s lack of response. Just read some of the one star reviews from people that have had a claim. The five star reviews come from people enjoying the low premiums. Just remember, you get what you pay for. Bottom line, go with a reputable insurance company and stay away from Elephant.

Pray that you never get hit by one of there drivers iv been on hold for over 3 hours still no sign of getting sorted. Just get past from person to person. Have to explain the same thing over and over and they still can’t put you through to the right person. The initial call from them was great sounded like it was going to be quick and easy since then it’s the worst experience iv ever had with any insurance company.

My car was stolen on the 16/10/2020 and im yet to recieve my claim. They have fobbed me off for over 2 years saying they are waiting for the police report. I have been in contact with the police on multiple occasions who have repeatedly confirmed all they need is to give them the crime reference number which I have given them on multiple occasions. Absolute scam artists.

9 years as a customer. Today I have left as they increased my renewal quote 80%+ with no reason. I asked them to explain why x2 and I was ignored. A new quote was offered but it was no where close to other quotes I have received. I requested for them to answer my complaint and explain and the online chat went dead. Closed down? Very disappointed, I guess I have dodged a bullet looking at the below reviews.
