Robert Barker Garden and Landscape Design

Robert designed the planting in our newly dug-out and landscaped back garden tiers. We are four months in and the plants and flowers are just starting to grow and bloom. We are so pleased with the work so far (it’s the main view from the house so we wanted something special) and are looking forward to watching it all develop and mature over the next year.

Robert and Danielle developed a very creative plan for our back garden, which ticked all our wish list boxes. We are excited to see its implemention and we would definitely recommend their design flair to anybody struggling with what to do with their garden.

Robert was extremely flexible and did an excellent job in designing the landscaping and planting designs for our garden. He was patient and professional and produced design drawings which he refined to ensure our requirements were being fully met. Robert was involved at every stage from inception to planting. Since the implementation of the design we have retained Roberts services to provide bi-annual ‘health checks’. This is an excellent way to ensure the garden remains in top shape. Mid-May and newly planted: Robert has created a lush and beautiful garden for me turning a desolate space into a cohesive design filled with plants.July: It's easy for a garden to look great in June and July, but ...End-August: This is the first ‘designed’ garden I have had that didn't look exhausted and about to expire in August - it is resplendent and, I feel, has the intention of remaining so until late autumn and beyond. It's like a piece of music growing and building to a climax and then I imagine (but we're not in November yet) falling away softly and gently to the bare base notes, the metronomic beat that will carry it through until early spring when the melody will catch and, slowly and surely, off it goes again.The fact that there's height, depth, repetition, movement, texture, emptiness and fullness in the design and the planting is to be expected from someone of his calibre. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the garden gives itself up to winter, how it sighs and plummets, what remains and how it stands sentinel until the spring to start again.Robert has created a lovely space for me and not only for me, for the birds, butterflies, bees and insects which I have watched feeding from my new garden.None of this is accidental. Robert designed it this way!

Thank you Robert and team for the beautiful garden that you designed for us. Our garden wasn't really a garden until you put your magic touch on it. I love nothing more than being able to get a coffee in the morning and walk around the garden and look at our beautiful new plants. It's interesting and makes me so happy to see them bud and grow. I love the variety and interest of the plants and trees, I feel that I am learning something new and I love that.

Robert and Danielle did a fabulous job with our garden. They were very easy to deal with and the visits they made were friendly and really put us at our ease. Following our conversations, the design they came up with was perfect and really fulfilled the brief - we didn't want to tweak it at all! We were also very pleased with his recommended lansdscape gardener. It's early days, but it's already a huge improvement; we are extremely excited to see how it looks in the spring and how it matures over the coming years.

Robert and team took what was a non-descript, new build garden space and transformed it into a vibrant, colourful and beautiful place which we can enjoy all year round.The process to get there was thorough, professional and enjoyable. Robert designed a lovely contemporary garden for me which perfectly suits the environment of my new house.

Robert recently designed and landscaped our entire rear garden to an incredibly high standard.
