Sherdley Park Driving Range

Told by staff that the driving range is only open 11:30-13:30 daily. Staff are on minimal hours whilst the sale goes through. New owners due in June.

Permanently closed.Just sat there rotting, like most of this shitforsaken town.Always used to be busy. Mustn't have been enough profit for the company the council flogged it to.

Trying hard, good markers. Could do with automated tee's like the old days. Also top tracer would be a nice addition like true fit in widnes.

Was a great place a while ago, but now abandoned.With a bit of investment and tlc, this could be a good littlle earner again.More so than the proposed skateboard course.The range and admin building are still there, but the nets need replacing, and the floodlights too.Such a shame to see it as it is.

Sherdley Park driving range is ok but not as good as others in the area. If you're in the area and in a rush it's fine but if you have time I'd travel to Clarke's driving range rainford as it's better quality and cheaper also.

Worst golfing experience I have had for a long time.Ball dispenser can't take new one pound coins 50p 20ps When you eventually get all the 10ps in it can't drop the correct number of balls.Range bays are unkept and it looks like it's had its day. Look elsewhere for a better golfing experience

Went to the driving range this week with my son. He is left handed and needed to hire a couple of clubs. They had no left-handed clubs for hire! Bit of an oversight, if you ask me. We just walked out.

Poor service. The golf ball machine doesn't take £1 or £2 coins or 50 pence coins. Overall it's very poor.

Nice sunny Friday today went down to hit some balls at 4:15 only to be told there are no balls left as they have had a busy day , dreadful for a driven range

Decent layout. The range mats are good. Balls a mixture of old range balls and foundlings from the golf course. £6.00 for 100 Balls. Its hard to judge how far you hit to the further pins as the range is level and there is no definition. Some of the yellow distance boards are missing so you have to guess how far away balls are landing. Coffee is a rip off at £2.50 for a small not very hot drink. A bit more tlc could turn this into a good facility. However they seem to be slipping into the usual range trap of designing a good layout then failing to maintain standards or attention to detail.It needs new balls, better distance definition. Cheaper drinks.
