The insurance was £6 which if you take this out leaves £21 postage but would imply the item would not be covered if lost in transit. Comparable FIRST CLASS POST would be about £2. I appreciate you contract to a courier service but you still have a responsibility to sellers and buyers just as the Saleroom has a responsibility for including you on their platform.

Bought a set of theatre costumes listed as ‘used’ when they should have been listed as unusable. They arrived late, absolutely reeking, and all 5 costumes were heavily stained and damaged beyond repair. The auction house rely on ‘caveat emptor’ it seems, though don’t seem to accept that they do have a responsibility to list lots accurately. Avoid- they don’t list correctly and don’t seem to care so long as they’ve had their fee.

I won a carpet at your auction house online.I paid all the fees and shipping costs by bank transfer over three weeks ago, but I haven't heard back from you since then. The carpet hasn't been shipped either.If you see this post, please contact me as soon as possible.

Had a long drive to collect some purchases as the shipping options made the round trip from Durham to Bristol more cost effective. A bit off the beaten track, but the sat-nav did the hard work.

Well looked after from staff. Helped to the car with items as I'm pregnant and was unable to carry them myself. Helped with lots that I missed for sale and bought after hammer went down if was passed. Very professional company.

AVOID AVOID AVOIDif possible would have put no stars, they advise to contact them before posting poor review. Don't bother - it makes no difference. I bid ,won items and paid same day. Nearly one month later despite chaser still not delivered, well outside their own estimates for despatch and all you get is bland non committal answers and excuses .These people have had over £1K of my money and I do not have my lots.As writing, I have just received an email promising despatch today, I hope so otherwise I will not give them any further chances and will take further action.

What fantastic service! I was the lucky buyer of a beautifully made but consequently very delicate wooden model of the ship HMS Racehorse in the November 2020 sale. These things are always a trial to dispatch because of their fragile nature, and because of its finesse, this one was more fragile than most, so sending it to me would be a real challenge at every stage. I found all the staff I dealt with at this auction house very keen to help, courteous and determined to deliver it to me unscathed. I took their advice to go for delivery via one of their chosen couriers, rather than Parcel Farce, due to the extreme fragility of this model. At every stage it was evidently treated with as much care and respect as I was myself: somehow it was wrapped without damage and carefully located within a large box with masses of buffering to prevent any movement. Their chosen couriers were just as careful and cheerfully delivered it surprisingly soon afterwards. I cannot praise enough the care with which this model was treated! It is so fragile that handling it at all is a challenge, but I am now building a display case so that this exquisite piece of craftsmanship will remain a joy to see for decades to come. Many thanks to all concerned.

Don’t think I will be buying from here again.I was the highest bidder on a few lots only for the auctioneer to say that I was not and then someone else was inexplicably the highest bidder, forcing me to either leave the item or bid more, also some of the lots when I was the highest bidder the auctioneer put the hammer down, but then allow bidding again, an auction house are supposed to sell items on the fall of the hammer, very unprofessional auctioneer.Out of the lots I did manage to buy quite a few of them are broken, don’t match the catalogue description or have parts missing but there was no mention of this in the auction catalogue description, again very unprofessional.I bought my items online and had to rely on the auction house descriptions, I found them to be lacking and inaccurate and my items were not worth the 6 hour round trip to collect!Overall I would say they are a low rent auction house trying to be something they are not!
