Up & Running

Went into Up and Running Nottingham, and was immediately greeted by Gerard - such a wonderfully pleasant chap. Had my gait measured on the machine, tried on a few pairs of running shoes, it was great to have his full attention at all times. He went beyond helpful and gave me all the time that I needed, we also a great chat during my visit. I came away with a pair of Brooks Ghost 14 and took them for a run later that night, amazingly comfortable. There's a good range to choose from and Gerard seemed to know exactly what I needed - my feet were in his hands. I will visit these guys again for my next pair. Thanks Gerard.

One of the best in store shopping experiences I've ever had. I was served by Harry in the Nottingham store. Despite being only 2 staff in store, I was promptly asked if I needed any help and stated what I was looking for. Harry quickly got me onto the treadmill and showed me the video of my running technique. He talked through how the trainers I currently had were suitable for my running style, but if I was interested I could look at some alternatives. He brought out 4 different shoes and I was able to try them all. I eventually decided on one pair, and completed the purchase. At no point did I feel pressured to buy, and I was super impressed by the knowledge and speed of service. When I need a new pair, I'll definitely be returning here!

Wow, 40 minutes in this place single handedly reignited my passion to get back into running. Yes, the running shoes are more expensive than in other generic sports shops but you know they’re invested in making sure you don’t get injured and that you can exercise intelligently. I had been putting off going to a running specialist for years and I have all sorts of issues with my knees and ankles etc.Big shout out to Sally Ann who was amazing, helping me with a gait analysis for well over half an hour.

I cannot express how grateful I am for the support at this store. Harry was the shop assistant I spoke to and he was incredibly kind and reassuring (I have never used a treadmill before!). I felt my questions were all answered in depth (re:trail running shoes), I did not feel rushed and overall just such a great experience. Thank you so so much!!! I bought my first pair of proper trail shoes (not feeling any pressure to do so). Also the gait analysis is very helpful and I would recommend it.11/10!

Went in to the store to get advice on calf pain after running. Harry, one of the staff members, was super helpful and gave a lot of advice for the pain after getting me on the treadmill and reviewing my form.Thanks Harry!

Remarkably good service. Was helped choose some new running shoes. Will certainly be back again for some more bits due to exceptionally polite and helpful staff.

I’m a new runner and I stumbled into Up and Running in a bit of a hurry and unprepared. Thankfully Jo was there and was very helpful and knowledgeable, setting me up with everything I needed in a short amount of time. I’ll be going back for some trainers this year and I’ll know exactly where to stop in. Thanks again!!!

Without a doubt the best customer service I’ve ever experienced in a shop. I spoke to a couple of staff members who were outstanding and extremely helpful. I bought some Adidas Boston’s which I’m very happy with. However leading to my purchase the chap brought 5 pairs of different trainers out, did running analysis on a treadmill, and provided a full explanation behind the science and benefits of each trainer. I will be returning, highly recommended!

It’s not usual to experience high quality customer service these days, but Up & Running truly go the extra mile. Harry who served me was very helpful in finding the right shoe, personalised to my movement, physicality, comfort and tastes. I was supported with a free assessment on the treadmill for Harry to analyse my running with a detailed knowledge and straightforward explanations to guide me. Up & Running were more than happy to give me their time and answer all questions that extended beyond the running itself to walking, care, strengthening and conditioning. I was able to test numerous shoes without feeling rushed that allowed me to ensure an informed decision could be made. It was enlightening to hear the ergonomic designs behind shoes and how these may best suit you. I would highly recommend to anyone who’s been running for years or who wants to pick it up.
