Virtuoso Doors

I ordered this door from a supplier in Hull (who were absolutely dreadful to deal with) but so far I am pleased with the quality of my new door. I was looking for a composite door but was disappointed with how ‘plasticky’ most looked. The virtu-AL door looks like a premium aluminium door without the hefty price tag. It feels solid and well built, hopefully it will stand the test of time.

I worked there for almost a year and can understand people not admiring the quality of the end product. When the production process was changed to semi automated, there were many flaws in the quality control process that were flagged by staff such as myself and improvement suggestions were put forward and went unheard. I've heard most of the management tram have left to form a new company called Portico so maybe they need the scrutiny now, but in all fairness, any company advertising that their product is crafted by skilled crafts people" and not unskilled agency workers on little more than minimum wage deserves what they get. I sincerely hope that the place has improved for the business and the customers"

Coming from a joinery manufacturing background there are flaws in their quality control. As always I inspect everything before fitting and on inspection of my new front door there was no damage and all looked good. After installing and standing back to admire my new front door I noticed what can only be described as OVERSPRAY, sadly this was only noticeable when the door was in the sunlight. Although it took a while due to the Covid situation, the door was replaced and now looks perfect.

I dont usually leave reviews, but i have had a nightmare with 2x of these front doors. My first one bowed within a couple of months by 8mm and would not shut i to the frame. It constantly locked me outside as it had bowed so much it wedged itself in the frame. I finally… after about 6-8 months got a replacement door and it csme damaged and is full of sawdust inbetween the double glazing! I paid alot of money for this door and its not the sort of quality you expect! My past experience in contacting this company has fallen on deaf ears, i feel my only way forward now is legal action. Very unhappy.

I am very disappointed with this company. I received my door with foreign objects being sprayed over and the exterior with chips. I have been sent a replacement slab and again the quality is appalling. I have got white showing where it's chipped. I wouldn't use this company again. The quality control is non existence.

Terrible after sales - fobbed off by them when in the first place they supplied a back door with a letterbox. My installer soon had them replace that. Now the window in the back door is leaking and they have tried to fob me off. My installer is sorting it out.

If you're thinking of purchasing a virtuoso door with glass panels be sure to have a good look at the glass they're going to use. I am extremely unhappy with mine. When I ordered clear" glass it didn't occur to me that it would actually be milky white - looking as if it needs cleaning. The company has fobbed me off saying that it's to do with the energy efficiency coating and unavoidable. What rubbish! I have neighbours who have recently had windows and doors installed and the glass is perfectly clear - as you would expect! Virtuoso don't seem to care that they have a very unhappy customer. The installation by Excel was OK but they say they couldn't promise not to damage the door if I wanted to have the glass replaced - at my own expense! I regret paying promptly for the installation."

Awful company to deal with they dont care about there customers all this company care out Is getting your money and that is it. I have ordered lots of doors from them and would consider myself a good customer. Doors have turned up damaged and I have been hounded by multiple people phoning me telling me i have to pay today for the damaged goods or they will close my account. They offer zero compensation for lost time when I had to go back to an job and replace a door slab which arrived damaged. I also had to give my customer a 200 pound discount for the inconvenience. Virtuoso offered nothing towards this. The previous 2 doors I have ordered they email one day before delivery once I booked in the installation to say the door is damaged will be another month. Nobody phones you to actually discuss this. Another time they sent me 2 of the same door and tried to make me pay for both of the doors even thoe it's an error on there behalf. Let's not forget the latest door i have got from them which was a month late due to being damaged so they decided to not only deliver the door but deliver the damaged door aswell so now I have a completely useless damaged door in my garden which I will have to pay to take to the dump. I just find the whole company strangely bad at doing buisness. I for one am fed up of giving them chance after chance to get things right.Take it from me use a different company for your composite doors as you will end up disappointed with virtuoso, I for one will be finding a new supplier in the new year.Avoid like the plague!

Had a New Virtuoso clifton massimo composite door fitted by Heaton Glass & Glazing. The quality is great I am very pleased with the door. It come just the way I ordered it. Top quality door.
