A full 5 stars. We recently had a get-together to celebrate the life of a dear friend.Kat and her staff did an excellent job.All arrangements before hand and handled very professionally. The food supplies were as quoted and plenty of it. Made a sad day better. Highly recommended. Thanks Kat.Bob Reeves on behalf of the Huggins family.

We had an excellent family meal in the function room. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. The food was superb and we would have no hesitation in recommending the Sandboy really pleasent experience.

We only just discovered this place. We did not eat but will return. Looks a great place for events parties weddings etc. Also in a short distance from Bawsey Park with amazing lakes and walk.

As it says in the title. Quakes, which is pretty much how it felt. Was informed it wasn't blue cheese I could smell but a local pig farm!!!! Says everything about my sense of smell, lol.To all reading, I was asked by the landlord / owner to get in touch. So here's my reply:gav here, left a review earlier and you requested a conversation. I'm not up for a possible stand off phone call but here's my number anyway 077********. Email as above.Quakes was a misspelling by me, meant to type Wakes.Google reviews listed it as The Bawsey Sandboy Public House - Funeral Wakes & Private Function Rooms" not sure I'd be up for that as an overriding reason to visit. Obviously you have a lot of customers from just up the road. Not wanting to upset anyone but in a situation such as you are in

Great lunch. We took our French friends there after visiting bawsey Park. Sheltered area for the dogs, and Kelly was outstanding. An independent pub trying it best. Needs support and can only get better. Keep up the good work. See you again soon

We held our wake here and received helpful advice from lovely staff who gave us confidence in their ability to host a wake even though we had to arrange it from 3 hours away. The buffet was perfect for the occasion at a good price point. Having a bar allowed a sad occasion to feel a little more like a celebration and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
