I went in to see The Muddy Hoard" of Roman coins. Really interesting & well laid out. A delightful small museum."

Brilliant little museum! It’s only tiny, but the lady on the front desk is very friendly. It’s free to visit and will probably take you about 20-30 minutes to have a good look at everything. You can park for free on the road outside for 1 hour, but it can be a bit tight trying to get into the space, and hard to find one.

Such a beautiful hidden gem in St Ives, always a pleasure to visit and discover new history of the local area. Extremely friendly and interested staff, I recently had a query about a local figure and was helped out immensely. Furthermore a friend and I recently wished to visit the Holt Island nature reserve and were helped no end, by the lady at the welcome desk, with gaining access to the island. Well worth a visit!

Great, if rather small, local museum. All exhibits are from local finds, and gives a decent overview of the main history. Free entry, so worth an hour of anyone's time

A small marvel. They have a real mammoth tooth!!! You will experience the evolution of the region from dinosaurs to Stone Age to Bronze Age to Victorian times. An absolute must if passing by Saint Ives.

I liked it. It's small and some of the building is not being displayed at the moment. I think it must be very hard to keep a small collection interesting, so they're doing a great job. It gave me the feeling that there's a wealth of history out there, but curating it and telling its story is a huge amount of effort, no matter how hard one works and how dedicated the volunteers, the story is much bigger than will fit into one small museum. I'll keep an eye open to see when they put on their next experience.
