A good watch may be very valuable but it can also have huge value sentimentally. Only 2 things matter when you entrust a special watch to a watchmaker. First, the quality of the work and the skill of the watchmaker. Second, integrity, honesty and a person you can trust.I'm always a little suspicious of 'self-made' reviews but this review is based on my experience, interactions and getting 2 very important watches repaired.Chris is a man of the highest integrity, a man who will give you honest advice and a man who cares deeply about his work. Secondly, his work is not only exceptional, it is a beautiful and rare skill to see a worn, tired watch, brought back to its former glory.Quite simply, I would not go anywhere else because these watches to me are timeless and precious.

I brought my 25 year old Breitling watch to a Jewellers where I had originally purchased it and where I always got the battery changed. Without looking at the watch, they informed me it would have to be sent away and would cost between €400 and €600. I took my watch to Chris and he did some maintenance work and put in a new battery for €60. He dealt with the whole procedure in a very professional manner. must say I am very impressed with his service.

Chris is very professional and clearly passionate about horology. Trust is a big factor when you are leaving an expensive watch with him for repair... he discouraged me from spending hundreds of euro on an overhaul that I was looking to have done because he rightly felt it was unnescessary in the circumstances. Instead he carried out a much cheaper polish and clean. This proves that he is honest and trustworthy. 10/10.

Chris is only interested in money, he is not interested in his buisness or fixing watches correctly.I left my watch with Chris to repair, during which he damaged it and then was not interested in taking responsibility for the damage or discussing a way to deal with the issue.

Had a watch batter renewed - immediately - other places you call back in an hour or even the next day. This place wins!

Have to recommend Chris for the great work done on my Tag Monaco Chrono. Expensive work and Tag were not keen to do it but watch came back from Chris in showroom condition. Will definitely be using Chris again...watches are an expensive hobby and I am thrilled to have found a trustworthy service here.

I met with Chris in the city centre to hand over three of my most valued watches, a Breitling chronograph, a Grand Quartz and a French vintage electro mechanical.I could have gone to Weirs with two of the three. He serviced the chronograph, put a battery in the quartz and pressure tested it. He swapped the movement in the electro mechanical for a working one I had sourced. Two weeks later, three dead watches were now up and running. I'm very pleased with the work, no doubt I'll be back to Chris with some more.

The SW500 automatic movement in my watch was losing excessive time and had randomly stopped on a couple of occasions.Chris did two things for me. First , he gave it a full service, fresh lubricants etc. Second, he regulated the watch to take account of my individual wearing and overnight storage habits. The watch is now running well within chronometer precision tolerance and averaging only a miniscule gain of 0.2 s/d which is amazing accuracy in the world of automatic mechanical watches.I'm very happy with the result and will be back to Chris for any future needs.

Filled out the online form with a detailed description, describing the watch and the issue I'm having with it. Received a curt reply email a few days later simply saying they are not taking on work - there was no sign off saying thank you, no mention of when they'll be taking on work again. Looking through past reviews, I'm not the first person to experience this either.
